Born and raised in the mountains of A Lưới, and understanding the hardships of his homeland, in 1995, Mr. Hồ Văn Dịa enthusiastically enlisted in the army, serving in Regiment 176, Division 968. The strict discipline of the military environment instilled in him a strong political stance and a high sense of responsibility. A year later, he was honored to be admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam – a milestone recognizing his dedication and contributions.

Returning to his hometown after his military service in 1998, carrying with him the demeanor of a soldier and the spirit of a Party member, Mr. Ho Van Dia quickly integrated himself into the community's work. He joined the reserve mobilization force, serving as a platoon deputy commander, always ready to take on any task the locality needed. His exemplary conduct, responsibility, and closeness to the people helped him gradually build credibility within the community.

In 2000, he was elected by the villagers as the Party Secretary of A Sap village. The most significant milestone in Mr. Ho Van Dia's career was in 2010, when A Sap village relocated to the Hong Thuong resettlement area. Life in the new location was difficult; infrastructure was lacking, electricity and water supply were unstable, and production faced many obstacles. Addressing the villagers' anxieties, Party Secretary Ho Van Dia not only propagated and persuaded them verbally but also directly lived, ate, and worked alongside them, persistently encouraging them to unite and feel secure in their new lives.

Mr. Ho Van Nuon, a resident of A Sap village, said: “Party member Dia said that the people trust him and follow his actions. When we first moved to the resettlement area, the people had many concerns, but he was always the one who encouraged and guided us. He led the way, so the people felt reassured and followed suit.”

Beyond being a source of moral support, Party member Ho Van Dia was always deeply concerned about the livelihoods of the people. He believed that for the village to be stable and develop, the lives of the villagers must be improved. Therefore, he set an example in developing his family's economy , boldly seeking business ventures suitable to local conditions. After stepping down as the village Party branch secretary, he opened a carpentry workshop, raised fish, and took on small construction projects; he also invested in plows and rice threshing machines to serve his family and help villagers reduce labor and improve production efficiency.

Mr. Nguyen Van Trac, Secretary of A Sap village, A Luoi 3 commune, commented: "Mr. Ho Van Dia is an exemplary Party member, always upholding political integrity and setting a good example in words and deeds, especially during difficult times for the village. His contributions have helped strengthen the people's trust in the Party's leadership and build unity in the residential area."

For over 20 years, from a soldier in the army to a village Party branch secretary and then a successful worker and producer, Party member Ho Van Dia has consistently adhered to the principle of living and working for the benefit of the community. His simple yet persistent actions have contributed to spreading the role of grassroots Party members – those who silently uphold the trust of the people in the highland villages.
