Using only hammers and glass, artist Bui Quoc Toan has created portraits of President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, and the General Secretaries of the Communist Party of Vietnam throughout the years, from 1945 to the present day.
The exhibition "Shining in Jade Glass" displays artworks at a time when the whole country is looking forward to the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), providing an opportunity for artists to express their respect and gratitude to the great figures who dedicated their lives to the revolutionary cause, the struggle for national liberation, the reunification of the country, and bringing prosperity and happiness to the people.
The exhibition "Shining in Jade Glass," organized by the Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter Management Board in collaboration with artist Bui Quoc Toan, runs until April 20th at the Hoan Kiem Cultural Information Center (2 Le Thai To Street, Hang Trong Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi).
