Upon arriving at the 9 Hoang mulberry garden, visitors are amazed by the mulberry trees laden with fruit. The mulberries not only bear fruit on the branches, but also densely cluster from the trunk to the top, forming plump, ripe bunches. This unique feature creates an impressive highlight, leaving anyone who visits in awe and delight.

Ms. Giau, the owner of the 20,000m² garden, shared: “My garden has about 120 mulberry trees interspersed with some other perennial plants. Luckily, the mulberry harvest is abundant this year, and many visitors come to see it, especially on weekends.”

Tourists enjoy visiting the strawberry garden.

The mulberry season typically lasts about three months, from March to the end of May in the lunar calendar. With a very reasonable entrance fee (only 30,000 VND per adult, free for children), visitors can freely stroll under the shady trees, pick their own mulberries, and enjoy them on the spot. Only if they wish to take mulberries home as gifts will they need to pay for the quantity they picked.

According to Ms. Giàu, the mulberry tree is quite easy to grow and doesn't require much care. The tree adapts well to various soil types and weather conditions. Mulberries prefer sunlight and need sufficient watering, especially during the hot, dry season. When the fruit is nearly ripe, adequate watering will help the mulberries become plumper and sweeter.

In the tenth lunar month, the last rains of the season end, giving way to warm sunshine, and the mulberry tree begins to sprout tiny, delicate flower buds. By January, the mulberry blossoms are in full bloom, pure white. And when March arrives, the warm, sunny weather becomes ideal conditions for the young mulberries to begin ripening, slowly becoming sweet. At this time, the entire mulberry tree seems to be covered with heavy clusters of fruit, signaling a bountiful harvest. The image of vendors carrying baskets and containers overflowing with mulberries along the roads and market corners has become a familiar and endearing part of summer in An Giang .

Ms. Anh Thu (a tourist from Cho Moi district) couldn't hide her delight: "This is the first time I've seen such a beautiful mulberry orchard in full bloom. The clusters of golden mulberries hanging heavily on the trees are truly impressive. I spent a lot of time here taking pictures of this stunning moment." Besides offering unique beauty and delicious mulberries, the 9 Hoang mulberry orchard also contributes to enriching ecotourism in An Giang. The combination of orchard visits and fruit-picking experiences attracts many locals and tourists who come to immerse themselves in nature.

The peak season for ripe mulberries is the perfect time to enjoy this specialty fruit and experience the simple, abundant beauty of the An Giang countryside. Mulberry orchards laden with fruit, their vibrant yellow hues becoming an indispensable part of the colorful summer landscape, promise an unforgettable experience for anyone who visits.
