On the afternoon of July 20th, a representative from the Hung Yen Department of Education and Training stated that, in order to proactively prevent and be ready to respond promptly and effectively to Typhoon No. 3 and the impacts of extreme weather and natural disasters that may occur, the Department has issued document No. 131 to schools and educational institutions regarding proactive response to Typhoon No. 3.

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen province requests that all units and schools seriously and promptly implement the directives and guidelines of the Provincial People's Committee regarding proactive response to Typhoon No. 3.

Regularly and closely monitor weather forecasts and developments of storms and natural disaster warnings from the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting.

Units and schools need to proactively develop measures to respond to the situation caused by typhoon number 3.

Establish communication channels with parents to manage students and minimize the risks posed to students by natural disasters.

In particular, absolutely no summer activities should be organized in areas at risk of landslides, flash floods, or flooding.

The Hung Yen Department of Education and Training also requested that all units have plans in place and promptly relocate files, documents, machinery, equipment, and furniture to safe locations. They were also instructed to promptly address damage caused by the storm and clean up schools/classrooms immediately after the storm ends to ensure hygiene and prevent disease outbreaks.

"The Department requires all units to continuously update information, compile damage reports, and develop plans for remediation, while also reporting to the Department for consolidation and submission to the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies," a representative from the Hung Yen Department of Education and Training stated.

Earlier, on the evening of July 19th, the Provincial People's Committee issued urgent dispatch No. 271 directing all agencies, sectors, and localities to implement comprehensive response measures.

The Provincial People's Committee requests that the authorities of communes and wards direct functional units to urgently clear waterways to ensure drainage; organize the trimming of tree branches; reinforce and secure signs, houses, public works, industrial zones, factories, and warehouses; and ensure the safety of the power and telecommunications systems.

The Provincial People's Committee also requested that localities prepare rescue forces and evacuate people from dangerous areas.
