On the afternoon of July 20, a representative of the Hung Yen Department of Education and Training said that in order to proactively prevent and promptly and effectively respond to storm No. 3 and the impacts of extreme weather and natural disasters that may occur, the Department has issued document No. 131 to schools and educational institutions on proactively responding to storm No. 3.
Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen requested units and schools to seriously and urgently implement the instructions and guidance of the Provincial People's Committee on proactively responding to storm No. 3.
Regularly and closely monitor storm forecasts and developments, and natural disaster warnings from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
Units and schools need to proactively develop measures to respond to storm No. 3.
Establish a communication channel with parents to manage students, minimizing the risk of natural disasters happening to students.
In particular, absolutely do not organize summer activities in places at risk of landslides, flash floods, or inundation.
The Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen also requested units to have plans and promptly move files, documents, machinery, equipment, tables and chairs to a safe place. Timely overcome damage caused by storms; clean up schools/classrooms immediately after the storm ends to ensure hygiene and prevent epidemics.
"The Department requires units to continuously update information, summarize damages and develop solutions, and report to the Department to summarize and report to the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies," said a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen.
Previously, on the evening of July 19, the Provincial People's Committee issued Urgent Dispatch No. 271 directing establishments, sectors, and localities to synchronously deploy response measures.
The provincial People's Committee requested the authorities of communes and wards to direct functional units to urgently clear the flow, ensure drainage; organize tree pruning; brace and reinforce signs, houses, public works, industrial parks, factories, warehouses; ensure the safety of power grid and telecommunications systems.
The Provincial People's Committee also requested localities to prepare rescue forces and evacuate people from dangerous areas.
