On the evening of August 22, the Admissions Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education (HCMUTE) officially announced the admission scores for regular university majors in 2025 according to many admission methods.



The benchmark scores remained high and clearly differentiated. The average admission score of candidates was 26.16 points. Of the 86 training programs, 55 had scores above 24 points, 18 had scores above 26 points, and 9 had scores above 27 points. Notably, for the first time, the school had 5 training programs with benchmark scores above 28, of which 4 belonged to the Basic Science and Core Technology group - demonstrating HCMUTE's position as a key educational institution in technical technology according to the Prime Minister's orientation for national development.
The major with the highest benchmark score is English Pedagogy with 29.57 points, while the lowest major is 21.1 points.
Notably, the Microcircuit Design Engineering program (under the Electronics - Telecommunications Engineering program) achieved 28.65 points, with 100% of admitted candidates having a Math score of 8 or higher.
The majors of Engineering Physics (28.65 points), Chemical Engineering (28.45 points) and a number of other basic science training programs all exceeded the 27 mark, promising to train high-quality human resources for this fundamental field.
The STEM sector continues to affirm its appeal with 55 training programs attracting a large number of candidates to register. Of these, 37 training programs have scores above 24 points, 24 training programs have scores above 25 points, and 15 training programs have scores above 26 points, reflecting the trust of learners and society in the traditional training strengths of the school.
Some new training programs also recorded positive signals: Automation Engineering achieved 23.55 points (according to the development project of Ho Chi Minh City), Communication Technology 26.5 points, showing the increasing interest of candidates in the labor market needs and the potential for developing quality human resources.
In addition to STEM, social sciences also attract a significant number of applications, affirming the appeal of HCMUTE's reputation, training environment and commitment to serving learners.
The school representative said that it will continue to invest in facilities and improve service quality to create the best learning environment, meeting the requirements of training high-quality, multidisciplinary human resources for the whole country.
In 2025, HCMUTE will conduct enrollment in accordance with the regulations and circulars of the Ministry of Education and Training , and at the same time, select candidates based on the combination and method with the highest results to create maximum convenience. The school also develops its own enrollment software, supporting candidates in converting scores, calculating priority points, submitting evidence, etc. to help the enrollment process take place quickly, transparently and effectively.
