During the resistance war against France, the Vietnam Education Trade Union linked up with FISE to denounce the imperialists' plot to invade our people, and at the same time introduce the achievements of revolutionary education.

In the spring of 1953, under the guidance of Deputy Minister of National Education Nguyen Khanh Toan, the Vietnam Education Trade Union attended the FISE conference in Vienna (Austria) and became a member of this organization.
