These days, Tan Tien village in Gia Phu commune resembles a massive construction site. Key projects such as the extended Tran Hung Dao road, the resettlement project for land clearance along the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line, and the infrastructure project for the Thong Nhat Industrial Cluster are all being accelerated. The entire rural area of Tan Tien is transforming, carrying with it the hope of a new, modern, and developed appearance.
United in purpose for common development.
To facilitate the implementation of key projects, nearly 100 households in Tan Tien village have been affected, with 69 households having to relocate. Despite having to leave their long-time homes, the residents still wholeheartedly support the government's policy. In recent days, dozens of households have begun dismantling their houses, moving their belongings, and handing over the land to the construction unit.

Ms. Luu Thi Thung, the head of Tan Tien village, visits and encourages the villagers every day to overcome the current difficulties. Ms. Thung shared: “The village has 212 households, of which nearly 100 households have residential and agricultural land affected by the projects. Although it is regrettable to have to leave the place we have lived in for decades, the villagers all recognize these as key projects important for the development of our homeland, so everyone agrees and supports them.”
According to Ms. Thung, many exemplary officials and Party members in the village have taken the lead in complying with the general policy, creating a ripple effect and helping the villagers to have more trust and support for the land clearance work.

Mr. Bui Quang Hue, from Tan Tien village, couldn't help but feel emotional as he watched his house and garden, which he had lived in for decades, being gradually demolished. His family consists of seven households, including siblings and children, who live close together but now all have to relocate. He shared: “I always support key government projects, and I only hope that the authorities will soon disburse the compensation and complete the resettlement area so that people can stabilize their lives.”

Mrs. Dinh Thi Len's wooden house is nestled amidst mounds of earth being leveled. She is accustomed to the sight of excavators and rollers working busily from early morning until late afternoon. Although she has not yet received compensation, Mrs. Len has cleared trees and facilitated the construction unit in opening a service road. Every day, she sits in front of her house, watching her fish pond being filled in, feeling a sense of regret. Mrs. Len shared: "It's very sad, but I hope the project will be completed soon, so that the village will change and become more beautiful in the future."
Sharing the same sentiment, despite having to live temporarily amidst the construction site of the extended Tran Hung Dao road project, Mrs. Tran Thi Mien remains optimistic: "It's not just my family that's struggling; many other households are in the same situation. We're just waiting for compensation funds to dismantle our houses and rent temporary accommodation."
Believe in a brighter tomorrow.
To implement key projects, Gia Phu commune has more than 1,000 households affected, with Tan Tien village having the most affected households. However, the people there still agreed and promptly handed over the land to facilitate the construction unit.

Mr. Phung Ngoc Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, said: "The commune government has closely coordinated with the investor to accelerate the progress of surveying, determining compensation prices, and promptly resolving people's requests. From direct dialogues to commune leaders regularly visiting the grassroots to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the people, we have created consensus and helped people understand the importance of the projects."

Mr. Pham Anh Hung, Deputy Director of the Lao Cai - Coc San Investment and Construction Project Management Board, shared: "Thanks to the consensus of the people, the construction unit has taken advantage of favorable weather conditions and mobilized maximum manpower and equipment to accelerate the project's progress."

As Tet (Lunar New Year) approaches, the construction site is bustling with activity. Amidst the activity, the people of Tan Tien are busy moving their belongings, preparing to leave their familiar homes. Despite having to live in temporary accommodations, everyone is putting aside their personal concerns and sacrificing their own interests for the development of their homeland. Their belief in a brighter future is the driving force helping them overcome this difficult period.
