Doctors at Nghi Loc District General Hospital diagnosed more than 40 workers at Premium Fashion Company with food poisoning and first-degree anaphylaxis. The hospital treated them with intravenous fluids, antihistamines, and corticosteroids.
On December 6th, the Nghi Loc District Health Center (Nghe An province) reported that dozens of workers from Premium Fashion Company (a garment factory), located in the WHA Industrial Park in Nghi Thuan commune, Nghi Loc district, had to be hospitalized with symptoms including dizziness, headaches, nausea, facial flushing, chest tightness, and rashes.
Specifically, about an hour after lunch that day, the workers suddenly showed symptoms of stomach pain and vomiting and were taken to hospitals for emergency treatment.
Initial reports indicate that 42 workers are receiving treatment at Nghi Loc District General Hospital, 9 workers were admitted to Cua Dong General Hospital for emergency care, and 12 workers are being treated at General Hospital 115.
According to doctors at Nghi Loc District General Hospital, the initial diagnosis was food poisoning and anaphylaxis grade 1. The hospital treated the patients with intravenous fluids, antihistamines, and corticosteroids. Currently, all patients are in stable condition.
The Nghe An Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Department is coordinating with relevant agencies to collect food samples for testing to determine the cause of the incident.
