* On the morning of January 2nd, the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held its regular monthly meeting for December 2023. Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies - presided over the meeting.

* The Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee unanimously agreed to continue implementing Directive No. 17-CT/TU. Accordingly, cadres, Party members, civil servants, and public employees are required not to use working hours for personal matters; not to arrive late or leave early; and not to drink alcohol before, during working hours, or during lunch breaks on working days or duty days.

* 28 villages and hamlets included in the plan to achieve new rural standards in 2024 are being implemented in 7 mountainous districts, including: Thanh Chuong (2 villages/hamlets); Tan Ky (4 villages/hamlets); Tuong Duong (7 villages/hamlets); Ky Son (7 villages/hamlets); Quy Chau (3 villages/hamlets); Con Cuong (3 villages/hamlets) and Anh Son (2 villages/hamlets).

* President Vo Van Thuong has just signed Decision No. 1582/QD-CTN awarding the title of "Outstanding Teacher" to 1,031 teachers nationwide. This list includes 63 teachers working in the Education sector of Nghe An province.

* Vietnamese citizens wishing to visit the Nam Can border market in Nam Can commune (Ky Son district) must present their citizen identification card or other valid personal documents (passport, travel document, driver's license, etc.) to border guard officers stationed at barrier number 2 to register their information, receive entry/exit cards to the market, and enter the border gate area.
