Nghe An: Highlights of February 3rd

* On the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024), the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party sent congratulatory messages to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

* To commemorate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam on February 3rd, the Party Cell of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department presented a national flag-lined road to the people of Hung Thinh hamlet, Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district.

This is one of the activities implementing the Provincial Party Committee's Project 01-DA/TU on "Building Party branches and developing Party members in hamlets, villages, and communities that do not yet have Party branches or Party members, and in hamlets, villages, and communities at risk of no longer having Party branches during the 2016-2020 period".

On this occasion, the Party Cell of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, in coordination with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, presented gifts to 7 poor households and families in difficult circumstances in the hamlet; at the same time, they provided financial support to Hung Thinh hamlet to purchase equipment for the community cultural center.

* On February 3rd, National Assembly delegates from constituency No. 2 visited and presented gifts to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2024 in the districts of Que Phong, Quy Chau, Quy Hop, Tan Ky, and Thai Hoa town, and attended the inauguration and handover ceremony of a charitable house in Chau Phong commune, Quy Chau district.

In Quy Hop district, National Assembly representatives presented 30 gifts to poor households and those with particularly difficult circumstances in Chau Thai commune. These gifts represent the affection and sharing of the National Assembly representatives with the people ahead of the New Year.

During their visit to extend New Year greetings to disadvantaged families in Nghia My commune, Thai Hoa town, the National Assembly delegates presented 30 gift packages, each worth 500,000 VND, along with some essential supplies.

In Tan Ky district, National Assembly delegates also presented 30 gifts to disadvantaged families in Tan Hop commune, aiming to encourage and share with the people as they celebrate the Lunar New Year.

Earlier, National Assembly delegates presented 30 gifts to disadvantaged families in Chau Phong commune, Quy Chau district, and attended the inauguration and handover ceremony of a charitable house to Mr. Luong Van Thi's family.

* On February 3rd, a delegation from the Provincial Military Command visited and extended New Year greetings to officers and soldiers of the Nghia Dan District Military Command, and presented gifts to poor households and families in difficult circumstances in Nghia Mai commune (Nghia Dan).

* On February 3rd, Nghe An Newspaper, in coordination with Nghe An Provincial Post Office, organized a gift-giving event for the poor in Thanh Khai and Thanh Tung communes, Thanh Chuong district, to celebrate the 2024 Lunar New Year.

In Thanh Khai commune, the delegation presented 23 gift packages, each worth 500,000 VND, to disadvantaged families. In Thanh Tung commune, the delegation presented 20 gift packages, each worth 500,000 VND, to disadvantaged families.

* On February 3rd, the Nghe An Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs and the 468 Investment Joint Stock Company presented Tet gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor households, and families with particularly difficult circumstances in Hung Nguyen and Nam Dan districts.

Implementing the "Compassionate Tet" movement for the Year of the Dragon 2024, with the motto "Connecting the community - Spreading love," the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in Nghe An province and 468 Investment Joint Stock Company donated 60 Tet gift packages to poor people in Hung Thong commune, each package worth 500,000 VND, and 60 gift packages to policy beneficiary families and poor households in Xuan Lam commune, Nam Dan district, each package worth 500,000 VND. The total value of the donated gifts is 60 million VND, sponsored by 468 Investment Joint Stock Company .

On the morning of February 3rd, people in Vinh City were bustling with activity, shopping for peach blossoms, apricot blossoms, sweets, and other treats in preparation for the upcoming Lunar New Year.

With the weekend approaching, many people had time off and took advantage of the opportunity to shop for Tet (Lunar New Year). Combined with the dry, warmer weather, the flower streets became even more crowded. More peach blossoms, apricot blossoms, and kumquats were imported to meet the demand.

Sweets and candies are indispensable items during Tet (Lunar New Year). At Vinh Market on the morning of February 3rd, the stalls selling sweets and candies were packed with people. According to vendors, the number of customers started increasing from the 20th day of the 12th lunar month, and after the Kitchen God ceremony, it tripled compared to normal days. Many businesses had to hire extra staff to help with sales during Tet.

* The Nghe An Provincial Police have issued a notice to search for the suspect who robbed a bank in Cua Lo town. The notice states that the Nghe An Provincial Police are concentrating their forces to investigate and apprehend the suspect who used a knife to threaten and rob property at 4:12 PM on February 1, 2024, at the Vietinbank branch in Cua Lo.

Based on the announcement, the leaders of the Nghe An Provincial Police Department requested professional units and police chiefs of districts, cities, and towns to direct their forces to focus and decisively review and compile a list of all individuals and vehicles with the above characteristics.
