* On the morning of February 2nd, on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3rd, 1930 - February 3rd, 2024) and the celebration of the Year of the Dragon, a delegation from the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee laid flowers and offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and General Secretary Le Hong Phong.
A delegation from the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee visited the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site in Nam Dan to respectfully offer prayers, flowers, and incense in commemoration, expressing profound gratitude and respect for President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of our Party and people; the founder and architect of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
At the Le Hong Phong Memorial Area in Hung Thong commune, Hung Nguyen district, the delegation from the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee respectfully laid flowers and offered incense in commemoration and expressed their boundless gratitude for the immense contributions of the General Secretary.
* On the morning of February 2nd, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the 2024 Forum on Cooperative Economy and Cooperatives with the theme: “Improving State support policies according to Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW dated June 16, 2022 - Driving force for the development of collective economy and cooperatives in the new period”.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the collective economic sector is one of the four important economic components in Vietnam's socialist-oriented market economy. Developing the collective economy is an inevitable trend in the context of international integration, consistent with Vietnam's socialist-oriented market economy.
* In the afternoon, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the 7th session of the Government's Steering Committee for Administrative Reform to assess the results of administrative reform in 2023 and discuss directions and tasks for administrative reform in 2024. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh - Head of the Steering Committee - chaired the meeting.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized and clarified the achievements in administrative reform; thereby acknowledging and commending the efforts of ministries, sectors, and localities in 2023.
Besides the achievements, the Prime Minister noted that mechanisms, policies, and laws in some areas are still overlapping and contradictory; administrative procedure reform is still limited and problematic; there is still a situation where some officials and civil servants avoid responsibility, shirk their duties, and are afraid of making mistakes or taking responsibility; public administration reform is not yet highly effective; and building an e-government still faces many challenges...
* On the afternoon of February 2nd, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held an online conference with districts, cities, and towns in the province to evaluate the results of two years of implementing the work of clearing violations and preventing re-encroachment on the safety corridors of road and railway traffic in the province, in accordance with the resolution of the Provincial People's Council and the plan issued by the Provincial People's Committee.
According to the report, from January 1, 2022 to the present, the province has cleared 12,463 m² of houses, kiosks, stalls, and shops of all kinds; 259 temporary markets; 1,583 sales points; 21,336 advertising signs; 2,570 electricity and telecommunication poles; 659 car wash and parking areas; 27,885 m² of canopies; 9,588 m² of steps;…
Traffic inspectors conducted inspections and handled 488 cases; of which 19 cases were recorded for violations with fines totaling over 138 million VND; and 345 cases were transferred to the district-level People's Committee for handling according to their authority.
* On the morning of February 2nd, a delegation from the Military Command of Vientiane Province (Lao People's Democratic Republic) visited and extended New Year greetings to the Military Command of Nghe An Province.
Working at the Nghe An Provincial Military Command, the delegation from the Vientiane Provincial Military Command highly appreciated the achievements of the unit in the past period and extended best wishes for good health and a prosperous New Year 2024 to all officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces. They also expressed their hope that the friendly relations, cooperation, and solidarity between the two countries and two peoples, and the special relationship between Vientiane and Nghe An provinces, will always remain strong.
* The city of Vinh has issued a plan to celebrate the Party, the Spring Festival, and the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024. In this plan, urban beautification is emphasized with the aim of creating a joyful atmosphere and giving Vinh a fresh new look in the new year.
Accordingly, for ongoing construction projects in the area, such as the upgrading of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Le Hong Phong, and extended Ly Thuong Kiet roads, due to the urgent need for business space for small traders and to facilitate shopping and Tet holiday preparations for residents, the city is directing the acceleration of progress and the early completion of necessary items.
At current construction sites, Vinh City requires all forces to clean up the environment and restore the site before December 25th (Lunar Calendar) to serve people for business and shopping during Tet, and only resume construction after the Tet holiday ends.
