Nghe An province collected over 6,300 billion VND in the first quarter of 2025, reaching 35.6% of its projected target. The province aims to collect 26,000 billion VND for the whole year, representing a growth of 10.5%.

On the morning of April 3rd, Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - chaired the regular monthly meeting for March 2025.

Co-chairing the meeting were members of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Bui Dinh Long, Nguyen Van De, Hoang Phu Hien, and Phung Thanh Vinh.

Attending the meeting were Comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and leaders of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province.

The meeting was held in person and connected online to the People's Committees of 20 districts, cities, and towns.

This is a very important meeting to assess the socio-economic situation in the first three months of 2025 and to discuss and agree on key solutions and tasks for the coming period in order to achieve the 10.5% growth target for 2025 as assigned by the Government.

Reporting at the meeting, Director of the Department of Finance Trinh Thanh Hai stated that state budget revenue in the province in the first quarter of 2025 reached 6,311 billion VND, achieving 35.6% of the provincial People's Council's projected target, and equaling 99.9% of the same period last year.

Of this, domestic revenue reached VND 5,954 billion, achieving 37.2% of the projected target and equaling 100.5% compared to the same period last year. Revenue from import and export activities reached VND 293.6 billion, achieving 18% of the projected target and equaling 74.6% compared to the same period last year.

In 2025, the provincial People's Council projected budget revenue at 17,726 billion VND. Prior to that, in 2024, Nghe An province exceeded the 25,000 billion VND mark for the first time, reaching 25,517 billion VND, equivalent to 160.4% of the projected target and 118.6% of the 2023 figures.

The Resolution of the 19th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025, sets a target of achieving a budget revenue of 26,000-30,000 billion VND by 2025.

According to Plan No. 126/KH-UBND dated February 28, 2025, implementing the GDRP growth scenario in accordance with Government Resolution No. 25/NQ-CP on growth targets for sectors, fields, and localities, ensuring an annual growth target of 8% or higher, Nghe An is determined to achieve a growth target of 10.5% this year as assigned by the Government and strives to achieve a budget revenue of 26,000 billion VND.
