Speaking to VTC News, artist Ngoc Khang said this is a great honor and happiness: "Every artist in general, and I personally, feel very honored to receive this title. Ngoc Khang said that the title of People's Artist is a motivation for him to continue striving and contributing to the people and the Fatherland: "Upon receiving the title of People's Artist, I realized that I must continue to strive and contribute even more, to be worthy of being an artist of the people, an artist in the heart of the Fatherland."

Besides being a performing artist, People's Artist Ngoc Khang is also a vocal music teacher at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, the Military University of Culture and Arts, and the Hanoi School of Arts.

Therefore, he was well aware of his responsibility in training generations of genuine artists who would wholeheartedly dedicate themselves to the national art scene. Some of his students have achieved fame, such as Meritorious Artist Ploong Thiet, Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh, and singer Dinh Manh Ninh...

"Holding the title of People's Artist, my responsibilities are even greater. I must be an exemplary artist in my career of striving and contributing. Besides that, I must strive to guide generations of students to follow the professional path, to become true and genuine artists, contributing to the people and the nation," he shared .

On this special occasion, People's Artist Ngoc Khang announced that he will be undertaking new musical projects, including his fifth live show, marking a new stage and milestone in his career. This is a program he has long cherished and plans to carry out next year.

Artist Ngoc Khang (real name Tran Van Khang) became known to the public while still a student of the Vocal Department at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music, winning first prize in the Hanoi Best Voice competition. In 1989, Ngoc Khang spent seven years studying at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Russia) and graduated with a Master's degree. To this day, he remains one of the most formally trained opera singers in the country.

In 1997, he returned to Vietnam and joined the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 1999, he was invited by French artists to play the lead role in the opera "Parisian Life," which was performed for several nights at the Hanoi Grand Theatre. This was also an opportunity for him to access advanced musical traditions from around the world and further refine his vocal technique.

He received much praise from the public and was hailed as one of the best singers of Russian music in Vietnam.

In 2000, he won the Gold Medal at the National Professional Music and Dance Festival with the song "Flowing River" by composer Pho Duc Phuong. He also left his mark on songs about President Ho Chi Minh such as "Ho Chi Minh, the Most Beautiful Name," "He Is the Unwavering Faith in Victory," and "Uncle Ho Is Marching with Us"...

From 2000 to 2011, he organized several successful solo live shows such as "Time and Memories " (2000), "Winter Love Song" (2001), "Silence of the Soul" (2011)... leaving a lasting impression on audiences at the Hanoi Opera House, the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace, and the Au Co Art Center in Hanoi.

People's Artist Ngoc Khang is one of the brightest stars of the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theatre. He has performed in many places around the world, participated in various international music festivals, and won many prestigious awards.

Ngoc Khang is an artist who has sung for many heads of state visiting Vietnam. Among them, he has sung twice for former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. The first time was in 2010 when Medvedev visited Vietnam, and the second time was in 2012 when he returned to Vietnam as Prime Minister.

In 2013, he was again chosen to sing for Russian President Vladimir Putin during his visit to Vietnam, performing two famous Russian songs: "Russia, My Homeland" and "The Energetic Youth."

People's Artist Ngoc Khang performed the song "Hanoi on a Winter Night" in the live show "Moments of Silence in the Soul".
