Born into a farming family in Thanh Hung hamlet, Thanh Dien commune, Chau Thanh district, Lan Anh is the eldest of two siblings. Her younger brother, born in 2007, is currently in 11th grade at the Tay Ninh City Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center (Campus 2). When Lan Anh was 5 years old, her mother unfortunately suffered a stroke and passed away. Her father had to single-handedly raise the children, working hard in the fields to support the family and pay for the two sisters' education.

One day, Lan Anh's father discovered he had a terminal illness. As the main breadwinner, worried about his children, he hid his illness and continued working to earn money to support them. At the end of 2024, while Lan Anh was focusing on her exams, her father's illness worsened and he passed away. The two sisters could only rely on the support and care of their aunts, uncles, and neighbors.

Lan Anh confided, “When my mother passed away, I was too young to understand the pain. Later, even though life was difficult, my father always loved and encouraged my sister and me to study hard. Now that both my parents are gone, I sometimes feel lonely. On rainy nights, lying alone in bed, the longing for my parents overwhelms me, and all I can do is cry. Sometimes I feel discouraged and want to drop out of school to find a job, but thinking of my father's advice, I try to overcome the pain and am determined to continue my studies to get a stable career, so that I can provide for my younger brother properly.”

According to Ms. Pham Ngoc Giau, the class's homeroom teacher, despite her difficult family circumstances, Lan Anh has always been a diligent and well-behaved student, overcoming adversity, cheerful and sociable, and actively participating in social welfare activities such as summer volunteer campaigns and Green Sunday initiatives. She is greatly loved by her teachers and friends.

A neighbor of Lan Anh shared that thanks to the school, the local community, and charitable organizations who have always provided dedicated support, both materially and spiritually, the studies of Lan Anh and her sister have been stable. The two sisters are always polite, remind each other to study hard, and everyone loves them.

Mr. Nguyen Thai Ha, Head of the Student Affairs Department at Tay Ninh Vocational College, shared that Lan Anh is a student with excellent academic results, but due to lack of funds for tuition fees, she submitted a request to drop out of school in the 2024-2025 academic year. Considering her circumstances, the Student Affairs Department mobilized teachers, the school's Red Cross Society, and the school's administration to provide tuition support for Lan Anh so that she can continue her studies.

Lan Anh hopes that after graduating, she will find a stable job to support herself and her younger brother. With determination, resilience, and ambition, hopefully, the two sisters will support each other through difficult times to achieve their dreams in the near future.
