Accordingly, the Cai Mep inland port is located in the Cai Mep Industrial Zone, Phuoc Hoa Ward, Phu My Town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province (now Tan Phuoc Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), and is invested in by Cai Mep International Logistics Joint Stock Company.
The objective of the inland port is to operate, conduct business services, and carry out import and export procedures for goods at the inland port in accordance with the regulations of Government Decree No. 38/2017 and the investment certificate and business registration certificate issued by the competent authority.
Cai Mep International Logistics Joint Stock Company fulfills the responsibilities and powers of a port operating enterprise as stipulated in Government Decree No. 38/2017 and relevant legal regulations.
The operation of inland ports must comply with regulations and be for the intended purpose; be consistent with the investment phases; ensure safety, security, fire prevention and control; and prevent environmental pollution.

Ho Chi Minh City gets another inland port.
Specialized state management agencies shall fulfill their responsibilities for specialized state management at Cai Mep inland port in accordance with the provisions of Government Decree No. 38/2017 and relevant laws.
The Minister of Construction has assigned the Vietnam Maritime and Inland Waterways Administration to organize inspections and supervision of inland port operations in accordance with Government Decree No. 38/2017 and relevant legal regulations.
Cai Mep Inland Container Depot (ICD) is the first ICD in the Cai Mep - Thi Vai area, capable of receiving goods from both road and sea transport. As a multi-functional inland port, Cai Mep has the appropriate infrastructure and equipment to handle various types of goods such as containers, bulk cargo, and project cargo.
The Cai Mep Inland Port is located in the Cai Mep Industrial Zone, covering a total area of 38.6 hectares. With a 1,100-meter-long wharf, including two transshipment berths with a capacity of up to 25,000 DWT and ten berths for receiving barges up to 5,000 DWT, the inland port can accommodate various types of vessels such as container ships, container barges, bulk cargo, and construction materials, ensuring sufficient berth capacity for a wide range of vessels and goods entering and leaving the port.
Located in the Cai Mep Industrial Zone and equipped with over 30 advanced and modern facilities, the Cai Mep inland port ensures safe and highly productive loading and unloading services.
Furthermore, with a 1,100m long wharf, including 2 transshipment berths with a capacity of up to 25,000 DWT and 10 berths for receiving barges up to 5,000 DWT, Cai Mep inland port can accommodate various types of vessels such as container ships, container barges, bulk cargo, and construction materials, meeting the need for berth allocation for various types of vessels and goods entering and leaving the port.
