On May 27th, Hai Phong Medical College, in collaboration with the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center (Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital), organized the "Drop of Red in White Blouse" voluntary blood donation event.
This is a practical event with profound humanitarian significance, aimed at preparing a reserve of blood to serve emergency and treatment needs for patients during the summer.

With the slogans "Connecting Hearts - Connecting Lives" and "Every Drop of Blood Donated Saves a Life," the event created a strong ripple effect of noble deeds, contributing to fostering solidarity and social responsibility among healthcare professionals and students of the university. The event attracted nearly 400 faculty members, lecturers, and students who registered to participate.

Due to the hot weather, the school has installed air conditioners and evaporative coolers to create a well-ventilated space in the registration areas, blood donation waiting rooms, and post-donation rest areas, ensuring proper healthcare for participants before, during, and after blood donation.

The entire blood donation process was carried out by the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center (Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital) in accordance with professional procedures, ensuring safety in blood transfusion. As a result, 312 units of blood meeting the standards were collected.

It is expected that in 2026, Hai Phong Medical College will organize two voluntary blood donation events in May and October. Students of the college will be encouraged to participate in emergency blood donation during their internships at hospitals and medical facilities in the city.
