Speaking with us, Mr. A Rac Truong, residing in Muc residential area (Thanh My town, Nam Giang district), shared: “The lives of the people in the highlands are still full of difficulties and hardships. Today, the delegation's visit and gift-giving are truly meaningful. The people are very grateful to the soldiers of Uncle Ho's army!” At the program, the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army donated funds to support Quang Nam province in building 5 houses of gratitude and 10 houses of solidarity; and presented gifts to 110 policy beneficiary families, families with difficult circumstances, and poor students who have overcome difficulties in Nam Giang district, with a total budget of over 1.2 billion VND.

General Phung Si Tan presented financial support for the construction of charitable houses and solidarity houses, and gave gifts to policy beneficiary families and families in difficult circumstances in Nam Giang district, Quang Nam province.

Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Secretary of the Party Committee of the General Staff - Ministry of National Defense, stated: “Towards the 80th anniversary of the General Staff's traditional day, the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, and to welcome the Party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party, the General Staff has recently organized and implemented many meaningful, practical, and effective activities such as: providing financial support to localities to build 80 houses of gratitude and 80 houses of solidarity for policy beneficiary families and poor families with difficult housing circumstances nationwide; building and donating two school buildings in Diem Mac commune (Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province); one community cultural center to prevent flooding in A Luoi district (Hue City); renovating and upgrading the Martyrs' Cemetery in Cao Bang and Lao Cai provinces... These activities demonstrate the gratitude and responsibility of officers and soldiers of the entire army in general, and officers and soldiers of the General Staff in particular. The General Staff, in particular, focuses on those who have rendered meritorious service and their families, contributing to strengthening the solidarity between the military and the people, and enhancing the fine traditions and qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era.

On behalf of the local government and people, Comrade Tran Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, affirmed: "These houses of compassion and meaningful gifts today are vivid evidence of the responsibility and affection of the officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army in general, and the General Staff in particular, towards the people of the mountainous Nam Giang region, thereby supporting and encouraging households to gradually overcome poverty and stabilize their lives."

The policy and mass mobilization activities in Quang Nam province not only demonstrate the role of the Army in social welfare but also represent practical acts of gratitude with profound humanitarian significance, reflecting the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source," and expressing the gratitude of officers and soldiers of the General Staff to the heroic martyrs, families who have contributed to the revolution, and the people of Quang Nam province. This contributes to the implementation of the "Gratitude and Repayment" movement and the "Nationwide Solidarity for the Poor - Leaving No One Behind" emulation movement.
