Recently, social media has been captivated by a series of photos of the "oasis" of Phuoc Giang (Hoa Xuan commune, Dak Lak province) by photographer Huynh Le Vien Duy (45 years old), head of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists branch in Phu Yen province (formerly).

From above, the small village with its bright red tiled roofs, nestled amidst seafood ponds, looks like a unique and striking picture. As soon as the photos of this "oasis" village were shared on social media, a large number of users interacted, expressing their liking and delight.

This photo series of Phuoc Giang village was taken by Huynh Le Vien Duy on the morning of September 14, 2025. Interspersed among them are a few photos of this "oasis" that he had taken on previous occasions.

"I enjoy traveling throughout the province to find new photographic angles. However, discovering Phuoc Giang village was completely different. While searching for potential photography locations on Google Maps, I stumbled upon an image of the village situated in isolation downstream of the Ban Thach River, forming a unique 'oasis'. That image compelled me to visit and capture this unique beauty," Duy recounted.

Duy said he was captivated when he came here. Taking photos with a drone from dawn gave him a different experience of the peace and simple beauty of the village seen from above, completely separate from the hustle and bustle of life.

"What I enjoy most is capturing the moment at the beginning of the day, when the light is still very dim and the whole village seems to be in a peaceful sleep," Duy said.

Ms. Truong Thi Kim Thoa, head of Phuoc Giang village, said that the village has about 118 households, and the people mainly raise shrimp. The entire village has only one main road. During the rainy season, Phuoc Giang often becomes an "island" because it is flooded on all sides, and people can only get around by boat.

"This village has existed for a long time. Although the people still face hardships, everyone loves life and supports each other," said Mrs. Thoa.
