Technical opening of component project 3 of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway.

On December 19th, in Ea Knuếc commune, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province held a ceremony to inaugurate the technical opening of component project 3 (part of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project, phase 1) and the inauguration of the Ho Chi Minh Highway construction project, the eastern bypass section of Buon Ma Thuot city.

Attending the ceremony were Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly ; leaders of central agencies, construction units, and a large number of people in the project area.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Truong Cong Thai, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, said that these are two key projects to practically celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party in Dak Lak province. The inauguration of the Ho Chi Minh Highway construction project, the eastern bypass section of Buon Ma Thuot city, and the technical opening of Component 3 (part of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway construction project, phase 1) are of paramount importance in completing the transportation network connection, contributing to promoting economic , social, and people-centered development, and strengthening national defense and security in Dak Lak province and the Central Highlands region.

According to the leaders of Dak Lak province, the first phase of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway project, upon completion, will help form a horizontal axis connecting the Central Highlands with the South Central coastal region, connecting with vertical axes, enhancing the effectiveness of projects already invested in and under investment, connecting economic centers and seaports, meeting transportation needs, creating opportunities, impetus, and space for the development of the Central Highlands and the South Central coastal region with a synchronous and modern technical and social infrastructure system; contributing to ensuring national defense and security, poverty reduction; improving the competitiveness of the economy, and gradually achieving the goals and tasks of socio-economic development of the country.

Component Project 3 of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project, Phase 1, is a key national transportation project, spanning 48 km with a total investment of over 6,000 billion VND. It starts in Ea Kar commune and ends in Ea Knuec commune. The project passes through 7 communes in Dak Lak province, with a completed phase featuring 4 lanes and a design speed of 100 km/h.

The Ho Chi Minh Highway construction project, specifically the eastern bypass section around Buon Ma Thuot city in Dak Lak province, spans 39 km with a total investment of over 1,800 billion VND. Bringing this vital route into operation will help divert trucks, container vehicles, and other heavy-duty vehicles away from the center of Buon Ma Thuot, contributing to reducing traffic congestion and minimizing negative impacts on the environment and urban landscape. Furthermore, this road connects with three national highways passing through Dak Lak province: National Highways 14, 26, and 27, and also connects with the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway, creating a complete transportation system linking forests and the sea. This will shorten travel time, promote socio-economic development, urban and industrial zone development, attract investment, and ensure national defense and security in the Central Highlands region.

Also on December 19th, several other important projects were launched in Dak Lak province, including the Cu Lao Mai Nha high-end resort project in O Loan commune, invested by Xuan Thien Ninh Binh Limited Company, with a total investment of nearly 5,000 billion VND. The project covers an area of ​​over 136 hectares of land and water, aiming to create a large-scale, modern tourism and resort complex linked to marine economic development and national defense and security.

These are extremely important projects; once completed, they will create a strong impetus for the development of the eastern region of Dak Lak province.
