In the early days of summer, the grounds of the Provincial Youth Center (located in Long An ward) resound with the laughter and chatter of children. Instead of spending most of their time on phones, tablets, or television, they are immersed in exciting learning and recreational activities.

At the center, the summer day camp for gifted children is held daily from 7 am to 5 pm with a scientifically designed schedule that combines talent development, skill training, and age-appropriate recreational activities. Children participate in various subjects such as piano, vocal music, drawing, chess, computer science, calligraphy, and English. In addition to acquiring knowledge, they also enhance their physical activity with badminton, martial arts, and modern dance.
Immersed in vibrant melodies, the children enthusiastically practice energetic modern dance moves, confidently expressing themselves. In chess, English, and computer classes, the learning atmosphere is lively with many interesting interactive activities. Each subject is a new experience, helping the children develop their creativity, concentration, perseverance, and communication skills. Pham Dong Anh, a student in the summer day camp for gifted children, shared: “I really enjoy participating in the day camp because there are many interesting subjects. Of all the subjects, I like drawing and modern dance the most because I can unleash my creativity and get exercise every day.”

More than just a place for learning and fun, the summer day camp for gifted children also helps them develop healthy habits through eating on time, getting adequate rest, maintaining personal hygiene, and being proactive in daily activities. With a nutritious diet and the dedicated care of the teachers, each day at school is a joyful day for the children, filled with enriching experiences and love. Ngo Kim Bao, a student in the summer day camp for gifted children, expressed: “The teachers take very good care of and guide us in both learning and playing. Here, I've also made many new friends and learned many useful things.”

According to Tran Hoang Giang, Head of the Youth Center's Professional Affairs Department in the province: "In the context of increasingly widespread electronic devices, many children tend to spend most of their summer vacation on smartphones, video games, or social media. This not only affects their physical health and eyesight but also limits their opportunities for communication, physical activity, and real-world experiences. Therefore, organizing healthy playgrounds like summer day camps for gifted children is extremely necessary. Currently, the class at the Provincial Youth Center's Long An ward headquarters has 22 students. Through various gifted subjects, sports , and rich real-world experiences, the class helps children enhance their ability to connect and communicate, form positive habits, and develop their thinking."
With well-organized activities, the children gain new experiences, ignite their passion for learning, and create opportunities for self- discovery . From there, the summer day camp for gifted children becomes a loving "common home," helping them connect with friends and create beautiful childhood memories.
