AC Milan have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for striker Victor Boniface.

Boniface expressed his desire to play for Milan from the very beginning of the negotiation process. He considered this a big step forward in his career, and affirmed his desire to play in Serie A.

Boniface is the seventh notable name to say goodbye to the BayArena club after the arrival of coach Erik ten Hag, including Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Amine Adli, Granit Xhaka, Jonathan Tah, Matej Kovar. In total, Leverkusen earned more than 230 million euros from player sales this summer.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the two sides reached a verbal agreement. AC Milan borrowed Boniface for a fee of 5 million euros, with a buyout clause worth 24 million euros.

If everything goes well, the 24-year-old striker will sign a contract until 2030. Boniface only needs to pass a medical examination to officially wear the world-famous red and white striped shirt.

Last season, Boniface scored 11 goals for Leverkusen. In the transfer market at the beginning of the year, this striker almost joined Al Nassr. However, the deal fell through at the last minute, when the Saudi Arabian club changed direction to recruit Jhon Duran from Aston Villa.
