Along with launching the new operating system for products like the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac at WWDC 2023, CEO Tim Cook introduced Vision Pro. He said, "This is the first Apple product that you can see through, not look at."
Recently, according to a report by The Information, Apple has focused on cheaper models and paused development of the second-generation Vision Pro.
Many believe that Apple will split the Vision product line into two variants: a Pro model and a cheaper, standard model. Apple is said to have dropped the priority of virtual reality headsets and gradually assigned fewer staff to the project.

Reportedly, Apple began researching a cheaper Vision device, codenamed N109, in 2022 with an expected price of $1,600. However, the company is still looking to reduce the product's cost without sacrificing many features. Therefore, the device is rumored to appear in late 2025.
The Information reports that there is still a possibility Apple will continue developing the Vision Pro 2 headphones at some point in the future.
