This morning, December 4th, at Ta Lang Community Tourism Village (Bha Leee commune, Tay Giang district), hundreds of locals and tourists witnessed the village entry ceremony celebrating the completion of the new longhouse of the Co Tu ethnic group.

The program, organized by the Department of Culture and Information of Tay Giang district in coordination with the People's Committee of Bha Leee commune, aims to develop the village entry ritual into a tourism product under Project 6 of the National Target Program for socio -economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas, giai đoạn 2021 - 2030.

According to Ms. Bríu Thị Linh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bha Lêê commune, the village entry ceremony is considered one of the important cultural features in the life of the Cơ Tu people, signifying a prayer for peace and good health.

The village entry ceremony, as a greeting, reflects the hospitable culture of the Co Tu people. Through this, it further strengthens solidarity among Co Tu villages in particular, and with tourists and friends from afar in general.

"This is an opportunity for the Co Tu community to share experiences in labor, production, and economic development, to educate their children to preserve, protect, and promote good traditional cultural values, and to help each other progress and develop sustainably," Ms. Linh shared.

Through this village entry ritual, the local authorities hope that the Co Tu community in Ta Lang village will continue to exploit, build, and develop the ritual into a unique tourism product, contributing to increasingly effective income improvement.

"In the future economic development plan of the commune, we have identified the integration of preserving and promoting traditional cultural values with tourism development. This includes promoting the cultural values of the villages and the beautiful traditional festivals of the Co Tu people to serve tourists," said Ms. Linh.
