In the early days of its release, many Galaxy S25 users discovered several bugs that needed fixing on this Samsung product line. In particular, a serious camera-related issue was reported by many users on Reddit and Samsung's community forums.
Specifically, when taking photos at night, some users have encountered a strange color banding phenomenon in their images. These bands are not uniform and can run vertically or horizontally, depending on how the phone is held. While color banding in sky photos is not uncommon, the bands appearing in this case are much more severe than what is usually seen.
Some images taken by the Galaxy S25 have been shared by the Reddit user community.
Furthermore, some photos show that this issue occurs not only in low light conditions but can also appear indoors. Specifically, one photo showed a clear grid-like pattern at the top of the image, resembling pixels on a screen or camera sensor. It's noteworthy that this problem isn't limited to a specific model, as owners of the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra have all confirmed experiencing this issue.
In its response, Samsung announced that it had discovered some instances of blurry images when shooting in night mode on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The company said it would release a fix in a software update expected to launch this week.
