Not only that young man, but in the eyes of many people, in the feelings of parents about the progress of their children when being guided by teacher Bien Linh, teacher Bui Thi Bien Linh is not only a person who spreads love but is also very dedicated, has many contributions to the career of educating people.

Spread love

Living a simple life, teacher - writer Bui Thi Bien Linh spreads love not only with a kind heart, full of sympathy and sharing, but also with practical and persistent actions. For more than 30 years of training students for university entrance exams in the old Phuoc Long town area, she has exempted or reduced tuition fees for students with difficult circumstances and devoted herself to teaching. In her role as homeroom teacher, teacher Bien Linh often makes a list of students by area to visit their homes, to understand each student's situation and have appropriate care.

For many years, teacher Bien Linh has connected with former students and colleagues to support the old Binh Phuoc Province Student Association and provide Tet gifts for the poor, including the family of Mrs. Ngo Thi Uyen in Phu Rieng commune. Mrs. Uyen has a serious illness, is bedridden, and lives with her grandson Ngo Van Thuan. What's more unfortunate is that Thuan has no father, and his mother is mentally ill. The situation is so difficult that Thuan had to drop out of school when he was in 4th grade. Understanding his situation, teacher Bien Linh connected with some benefactors and used her salary to support Thuan and his grandmother from rice, medicine to repairing the dilapidated house. Thanks to the encouragement and support, both material and spiritual, Thuan not only continued to study, but later learned a trade and became an auto mechanic, with a family and a stable income.

As a writer, Ms. Bien Linh has mobilized artists, retired cadres, youth, and intellectuals to participate in social work trips to visit and donate books to schools and libraries. In 2022, she and other artists in the province mobilized and traveled hundreds of kilometers to visit and give gifts to officers and soldiers at the Dak No and Dak Bo border posts - the most difficult and farthest border posts of the old Binh Phuoc province. For Ms. Bien Linh - love is quietly given.

Nurturing literary and artistic talents

Ms. Bien Linh is an ordinary teacher, but many generations of students where she teaches have created a “Ms. Bien Linh Fan Page” on social networks. They collect her articles, articles about her, about her works and their own to regularly post on the page. Many special students who were loved and influenced by her, after graduating from school for decades, still remember her on occasions of celebrating Teachers' Day.
Vietnam.

In 2022, while participating in the Literary Creation Camp in Tam Dao, she was assigned by the Organizing Committee to give a speech at the Discussion From Children's Literature to Vietnamese Textbooks - Current Situation and Recommendations. She presented with the experiences of a competent and dedicated teacher, with the perspective and deep feelings of a writer with many good works written for children. Her speech was introduced and spread, receiving the approval of many colleagues across the country.

Teacher Bui Thi Bien Linh's contribution to the education sector is not only her creative and inspiring Literature lessons to generations of students, but also because many of her works have been selected by the education sector and included in the local literature and history education program at the high school level. Her poem The Mountain of Love was set to music by three famous musicians; it has been staged many times by generations of students at Phuoc Binh High School, making Literature and History lessons unexpectedly attractive. As for the novel The Eastern Soldier, the work was selected by the Ministry of National Defense to be included in the book series commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, Phuoc Binh High School coordinated with the author to organize a book launch and interact with the characters in the novel.

On the day teacher Bien Linh said goodbye to teachers and students of Phuoc Binh High School to retire, the affection of colleagues and students was expressed in bouquets of flowers and simple gifts. Many students came to her with red eyes to say goodbye, because from now on they would no longer be able to study and enjoy her interesting lessons.

Over the years, she has quietly worked with her fellow writers to discover and nurture literary and artistic talents for students. Many of their works have been highly appreciated, performed, and introduced in literary and artistic events in the province. With the support of her fellow writers and the support of the Dong Nai Provincial Literature and Arts Association, the group "Bup tren canh" - consisting of young talents in literary and artistic creation - was established in the 2024-2025 school year. Teacher and student Bien Linh not only compose poems and literary works of profound humanistic values, but also organize exchanges with students from schools in the province to spread the love of literature and art.

Faced with the affection, praise, and encouragement of generations of students, teacher and writer Bien Linh simply expressed: “The happiness of a teacher is that students always look forward to his class. The happiness of a writer is that his works are always welcomed and spread. My works, my work are to repay this land, to repay the generations who have fallen to preserve this sacred land.”
