Tran Huu Trang Theatre stages the play "Saigon Fire".

On March 31st, the Tran Huu Trang Theatre began rehearsals for the Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) play "Saigon Fire".

This is the winning script in the competition for creating, staging, and promoting cultural and artistic works to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), launched by Ho Chi Minh City. The work "Saigon Fire" is a script by author Pham Duong My Thu Huyen (daughter of the late playwright Phi Hung).

Meritorious Artist Trong Phuc will play the main character in the work "Saigon Fire".

The story tells of a playwright who was an early convert to the revolutionary cause. He wrote plays against the invaders and propagated the struggle to defend the revolution. Directed by People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau, the play features artists such as People's Artist Trong Phuc, Meritorious Artist Minh Hoang, and artists Diem Thanh, Nguyen Van Khoi, Kim Luan, Vo Ngoc Quyen, Trong Hieu, To Tan Loan, and Nhat Nguyen…
