On the morning of February 27th, 3,238 young men from Dong Nai who were selected for military service officially departed for their assigned duties, including 2,904 young men joining the military and 334 young men joining the police force for a limited period.
This year, the Dong Nai Provincial Military Service Council continues to recruit the required number of young men to enlist in units of the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 7, and the Ministry of Public Security .
Of the 2,904 young people who enlisted in the army, 674 had college or university degrees (accounting for 22.1%); 46 were civil servants working in local areas (accounting for 1.5%).
This year has seen many families with twins volunteer for and successfully enlist in the military.

Phuong Ngoc said she felt honored to wear the green military uniform she had long dreamed of. She also expressed her determination to continuously strive, train, and further uphold the traditions of her homeland, continuing to make worthy contributions to the cause of building and defending the nation.

At the military recruitment point in Dinh Quan district, Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh, Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, commended the young men for fulfilling their sacred duty as youth citizens.
Mr. Linh encouraged the new recruits to uphold the traditions of their homeland, strictly adhere to military discipline, set a good example in complying with the unit's rules and regulations, strive to overcome difficulties, and excellently fulfill the duties of a revolutionary soldier in the heroic Vietnam People's Army.
At the same time, he requested that members of the Provincial and Dinh Quan District Military Service Councils continue to pay attention to and take good care of the military's rear-area support policies. After the troop deployment is stable, they should develop a plan to visit and encourage new recruits, helping them feel secure in their training and mature in the military environment.
