Many pillar stocks break out, VN-Index increases nearly 20 points

NDO - On May 8, green spread widely across the Vietnamese stock market. Opening the morning session, the market increased positively, with real estate, banking, and securities standing out. In the afternoon session, a number of bluechips accelerated, of which VIC was the most prominent stock when it hit the ceiling price, contributing more than 4.9 points to the VN-Index. At the end of the session, the VN-Index increased by 19.43 points, to 1,269.80 points.

Market liquidity increased again, with total trading volume on the three exchanges reaching more than 907 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND 20,718 billion.

Foreign investors had the 4th consecutive net buying session on all 3 exchanges with more than 255.4 billion VND, focusing on codes VIC (145.26 billion VND), MBB (119.71 billion VND), HPG (102.51 billion VND), MSN (75.76 billion VND), DXG (65.36 billion VND)...

On the contrary, the stocks with the most net sales in this session included VHM (282.2 billion VND), VCB (59.88 billion VND), SSI (51.35 billion VND), VRE (48.42 billion VND), VPB (48.32 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value of this session increased compared to the previous session, reaching more than 18,184 billion VND.

In this session, the codes that contributed positively to the VN-Index increasing by more than 13.15 points included: VIC, GVR, FPT, BID, BCM, MSN, PLX, TCB, LPB, GAS.

On the contrary, the stocks that negatively impacted the VN-Index by more than 0.48 points included: HVN, FRT, BWE, HAG, VSC, BAF, DCM, NVL, DIG, TBC.

In terms of industry groups, this session, software stocks leaned towards green, up 4.05%, mainly from FPT, CMG, HPT... A few stocks decreased including ITD...

The majority of banking stocks in this session were green, with an increase of 0.92%, mainly from codes VCB, BID, CTG, TCB, MBB, ACB, LPB, STB, HDB...

The real estate stock group this session recorded an increase of 2.61%, mainly from codes VIC, VHM, BCM, VRE, SSH, KDH, KBC, VPI... On the contrary, a few codes decreased including NVL...

Energy stocks were in the green, up 1.44%, mainly from BSR, PVS, PVD, TMB, PVC, PVB, TVD... Some stocks decreased including CLM, POS...

The group of raw material stocks this session leaned towards green, recording an increase of 1.62%, mainly from codes HPG, GVR, DGC, VGC, MSR, DPM, BMP, ... On the contrary, the codes that decreased included KSV, DCM, NTP ...

Insurance stocks increased by 0.18%, mainly from codes PVI, BIC, VNR,... Declining direction included BVH, PGI, ABI...

Retail stocks performed positively this session, increasing by 1.66%, mainly from codes MWG, PLX, PNJ, DGW, HHS, HTM, PET... On the contrary, the codes that decreased included FRT, SAS, VFG...

* The Vietnamese stock market index increased sharply today, VNXALL-Index closed up 31.12 points (+1.51%), to 2,086.29 points. Liquidity with a trading volume of more than 798.38 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 19,013.92 billion. In the whole market, there were 270 stocks increasing in price, 81 stocks remaining unchanged and 113 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 215.21 points, up 1.8 points (+0.84%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 63.96 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND 1,123.90 billion. In the whole market, there were 101 stocks increasing in price, 60 stocks remaining unchanged and 63 stocks decreasing in price.

The HNX30 index closed up 5.08 points (+1.21%), to 425.72 points. Trading volume reached over 41.01 million units, equivalent to over VND866.60 billion. In the whole market, there were 24 stocks increasing in price, 4 stocks remaining unchanged and 2 stocks decreasing in price.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 92.98 points, up 0.06 points (+0.06%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 36.94 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than 481.05 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 147 stocks increasing in price, 112 stocks remaining unchanged and 100 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 19.43 points (+1.55%), to 1,269.80 points. Liquidity reached over 806.21 million units, equivalent to a trading value of over VND19,113.02 billion. The entire floor had 230 stocks increasing, 49 stocks remaining unchanged and 92 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 index increased by 26.30 points (+1.99%) and stopped at 1,351.10 points. Liquidity reached more than 340.18 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND10,302.61. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 28 stocks increasing, 1 stock remaining unchanged and 1 stock decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are SHB (over 89.23 million units), VIX (over 25.75 million units), MBB (over 21.01 million units), HPG (over 19.89 million units), SSI (over 18.51 million units).
