On May 21, the Food Safety Department announced that it had just decided to revoke the validity of the product declaration registration certificate for 10 health protection foods announced by Nam Viet Biotechnology Joint Stock Company (lot A3-A4, Small and Medium Industrial Cluster, Dien Phu commune, Dien Khanh district, Khanh Hoa province).

This decision was made after the companies submitted documents requesting to withdraw their applications related to health food products.

10 health protection foods have their Certificate of Registration of Declaration revoked.

Previously, on May 7, Nam Viet Biotechnology Joint Stock Company sent an official dispatch to the Department of Food Safety requesting to withdraw documents related to health protection food products.

The Food Safety Department said that a few days earlier, the Department also issued a decision to revoke the registration acceptance certificate of two other health protection food products, Sadi slim plus, published by Hoang Huy Organic Trading and Development Company Limited (No. 6, Lane 565, Lac Long Quan Street, Xuan La Ward, Tay Ho District, Hanoi ) and Chocodiet, published by Loewy Brand Company Limited (No. 310/40, Pham Van Chieu Street, Ward 9, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City), which has now changed its name and address to Staywell Trading Company Limited (100/46, Street No. 3, Ward 8, Go Vap District).

In particular, the product Chocodiet had its registration certificate revoked because on April 29, Staywell Trading Company Limited submitted a request to cancel the product registration application. This product was granted a registration certificate in April 2021.

Since August 2024, Hoang Huy Organic Trading and Development Company Limited has issued an official dispatch announcing the cessation of production and business and requesting the revocation of the Certificate of Acceptance of the product declaration of health protection food Sadi slim plus.

Some health protection foods have their Certificate of Registration of Declaration revoked.

Next, the Food Safety Department issued a document revoking the validity of the Certificate of Registration of Declaration for 18 health protection food products announced by Abbott Healthcare Vietnam.

These 18 products are all health supplements related to enhancing brain circulation, improving liver function, enhancing resistance, reducing fatigue, supporting hair growth...

The recall was carried out at the request of the enterprise itself to withdraw the dossier related to the health protection food product. The reason for the request to voluntarily withdraw the product declaration is that there is no production and business plan.

Recently, the Food Safety Department has continuously announced the revocation of the declaration acceptance certificates of dozens of health food products. In just a short time, a series of functional food products have been recalled.

The Food Safety Department said that the reason for revoking these certificates was based on the voluntary request to withdraw and withdraw the health protection food related records of the registered units, not related to product quality.
