In implementing Directive No. 20, dated January 18, 2018, of the Central Party Secretariat "on continuing to strengthen and improve the quality of research, compilation, dissemination, and education of Party history," the work of researching, compiling, disseminating, and educating on Party history in Quang Nam province has achieved important results.

Many books

In implementing Directive No. 20, the research, compilation, dissemination, and education of Party history in Quang Nam province have been guided by the goal of ensuring quality and effectiveness, aiming to promote revolutionary traditions and educate the public. Simultaneously, it aims to combat and refute erroneous and hostile viewpoints, contributing to the protection of the Party's ideological foundation. Therefore, Party committees at all levels have focused on directing and effectively carrying out research and compilation work.

By the end of 2024, most agencies, departments, and organizations under the Provincial Party Committee, all 18 district, town, and city Party Committees, and hundreds of communes, wards, and townships had compiled and published their respective histories.

Along with that, hundreds of specialized publications such as memoirs, chronicles, and conference proceedings were compiled and published by various levels, notably: "Huynh Ngoc Hue - An Outstanding Son of Quang Nam", "Vu Trong Hoang - A Loyal Son of Quang Nam", the photo book "Uncle Ho with Quang Nam - Quang Nam with Uncle Ho", "The Base and Standing Point of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee 1930 - 1975"...

The published historical works and publications have contributed to summarizing the Party's leadership experience, fostering revolutionary traditions, and enhancing patriotism among cadres, Party members, and all strata of the people. This has helped protect the Party's ideological foundation against the increasingly insidious tactics of reactionary and hostile forces both domestically and internationally.

It's easy to research and learn about the history and culture of Quang Nam province through the Publication Library.

Beyond just publishing and distributing, the work of disseminating and educating about local history and culture in the province is being actively promoted by Party committees at all levels with rich and vibrant forms and content.

In particular, based on published historical and cultural works, since the end of 2019, with the unanimous agreement of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Propaganda Department has digitized these works on the Provincial Party Committee's electronic information website in the Publication Library folder at the address “http://thuvienanpham.quangnam.gov.vn”, thereby uploading hundreds of works and publications. According to statistics, there are nearly 10,000 visits to the Publication Library annually.

Diverse educational methods

The Quang Nam Newspaper dedicates many special sections and columns such as "Land and People of Quang Nam" and "Documentary Files" to publishing numerous articles related to the revolutionary war and the land and people of Quang Nam. The provincial Radio and Television Station annually produces and broadcasts approximately 5 documentaries about prominent historical figures of the homeland and the country...

In addition, to commemorate major national holidays such as the founding of the Provincial Party Committee (March 28), the liberation of the homeland (March 24), and other important political events, Quang Nam Newspaper, the Provincial Radio and Television Station, and the electronic portals of agencies, units, and localities publish many articles, reports, and historical documents…

Many units and localities organized seminars to review historical traditions; they also held writing competitions and quizzes to learn about the history of the Party committee and the historical traditions of their agencies, units, and localities.

For example: The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, in coordination with relevant agencies, organized the "Contest to learn about the historical and cultural traditions of Quang Nam; the history of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee"; Dai Loc district with the writing contest "The Victory at Thuong Duc - A Heroic Memory"; Tay Giang with the contest to learn about the history of the Tay Giang District Party Committee (1945 - 2020); Nam Giang with the contest to learn about "The history of the Ngoc Lac District Party Committee: 75 years of formation and development" and "The history of the Nam Giang District Party Committee: 75 years of formation and development" (June 28, 1949 - June 28, 2024)...

The work of historical education in schools has also received significant attention from Party committees at all levels. The Provincial Political School and district-level political centers have incorporated the dissemination of local Party history into the curriculum of training courses for new Party members, courses for prospective Party members, and intermediate and basic political theory courses, following the guidelines of the Central Propaganda Department and the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy.

The district, town, and city Party committees have directed the Political Centers to develop curricula for local Party history education, incorporating the thematic teaching "Our Party is truly great."

The teaching of local history in schools throughout the province is carried out in accordance with regulations. The Department of Education and Training directs schools to effectively integrate the history of the local Party committee into the curriculum of subjects such as history, civics, literature, and extracurricular activities.

At the same time, schools were instructed to strengthen the dissemination and education of Party history and the revolutionary traditions of the locality. The education of ethics, lifestyle, and ideals for students was also intensified through extracurricular activities, experiences, and study tours to historical sites.
