Implementing Directive No. 20, dated January 18, 2018 of the Central Secretariat "on continuing to strengthen and improve the quality of research, compilation, propaganda, and education on Party history", the work of research, compilation, propaganda, and education on Party history in Quang Nam has achieved important results.

Many books

Implementing Directive No. 20, the work of researching, compiling, propagating and educating Party history in Quang Nam has been determined to ensure quality and effectiveness, aiming to propagate and educate revolutionary traditions. At the same time, it is necessary to fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints, contributing to protecting the Party's ideological foundation. Therefore, Party committees at all levels have focused on directing the good implementation of research and compilation work.

By the end of 2024, most agencies, departments and unions under the Provincial Party Committee, 18/18 district, town and city Party Committees and hundreds of communes, wards and towns have compiled and published their own history.

Along with that, hundreds of specialized publications on memoirs, travelogues, and conference proceedings were compiled and published at all levels, typically: "Huynh Ngoc Hue - An excellent son of Quang", "Vu Trong Hoang - A loyal son of Quang", photo book "Uncle Ho with Quang Nam - Quang Nam with Uncle Ho", "The base and foothold of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee 1930 - 1975"...

The published historical works and publications have contributed to summarizing the Party's leadership experience, fostering revolutionary traditions, and enhancing patriotism among cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life. Thereby, they have contributed to protecting the Party's ideological foundation against the increasingly insidious tricks of reactionary and hostile forces at home and abroad.

Not only stopping at publishing and distributing, propaganda and education work on local history and culture in the province has been promoted by Party committees at all levels with rich and vivid forms and contents.

In particular, based on published historical and cultural works, since the end of 2019, with the consensus of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department has digitized those works on the Provincial Party Committee's Electronic Information page in the Publication Library folder at the address "http://thuvienanpham.quangnam.gov.vn), thereby posting hundreds of works and publications. According to statistics, there are nearly 10,000 visits to the Publication Library every year.

Diversified education methods

Quang Nam Newspaper has many special pages and columns, “Land and People of Quang Nam” and “Documentary Files” to publish many articles related to the revolutionary war, the land and people of Quang Nam. The provincial Radio and Television Station annually produces and broadcasts about 5 documentaries about typical historical figures of the homeland and country...

In addition, to celebrate major holidays of the homeland and country such as the founding of the Provincial Party Committee (March 28), the liberation of the homeland (March 24) and other important political events, Quang Nam Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station, electronic information portals of agencies, units and localities posted many articles, historical document reports...

Many units and localities organize seminars to review historical traditions; organize writing contests and multiple-choice tests to learn about the history of the Party and the traditional history of agencies, units and localities.

Typical examples include: The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department in coordination with relevant agencies organized the "Contest to learn about the historical and cultural traditions of Quang Nam; history of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee"; Dai Loc district with the writing contest "Thuong Duc Victory - Heroic Memories"; Tay Giang with the contest to learn about the history of the Tay Giang District Party Committee (1945 - 2020); Nam Giang with the contest to learn about "History of the Ngoc Lac District Party Committee 75 years of formation and development" and "History of the Nam Giang District Party Committee 75 years of formation and development" (June 28, 1949 - June 28, 2024)...

Historical education in schools has also received attention from Party committees at all levels. The Provincial Political School and the District Political Center have included the content of propagating the history of local Party committees in teaching classes for new Party members, training for Party admission candidates, and intermediate and elementary political theory classes according to the guidance documents of the Central Propaganda Department and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

District, town and city Party Committees have directed the Political Center to develop local Party history education curriculum, including the topic "Our Party is truly great" in teaching.

Teaching local history in schools in the province is carried out in accordance with regulations. The Department of Education and Training directs schools to integrate local party history into the curriculum of subjects such as history, civics, literature and extracurricular lessons.

At the same time, direct schools to promote propaganda and education on Party history and local revolutionary traditions. Strengthen education on ethics, lifestyle and ideals for students through extracurricular activities, experiences, study tours to learn about red addresses...
