In fact, there are two different milestones at the Zero Milestone area. The one that was recently removed from the sidewalk of Nguyen Trai Street was a traffic signpost. The other milestone, which serves as an administrative boundary marker, is a large, well-built structure located inside the central park of Ha Giang City, opposite the 26.3 Square and a few dozen meters from the one that was just removed. This location was built many years ago, is spacious, paved with stone, and convenient for people to take photos; it is currently undergoing renovation.

Confirming with Thanh Nien newspaper , the authorities in Ha Giang province stated that removing milestone number 0 from the sidewalk enhances the aesthetics of the park area and ensures safety and convenience for tourists visiting and taking photos at the new location.

Milestone number 0 inside the central park of Ha Giang City is currently being renovated and is also a popular destination for many tourists.

Along with upgrading the area around milestone number 0, Ha Giang is also renovating and upgrading the central park, installing a lighting system, etc. The work is scheduled to be completed in May 2023.
