Colors tell a story.
Literacy is fundamental, but for holistic education , schools need to create space for students' emotions, creativity, and independent thinking. The Art Club of Phu Xa Primary School (Tich Luong Ward), established in 2023, currently has nearly 40 members.
Under the dedicated guidance of Mr. Nguyen Giang Thanh, Art and Music teacher, the children learn to appreciate beauty, unleash their imagination, and express the world around them through their own colors and drawings.
In the small room, the faint scent of watercolors mingled with the sound of innocent laughter. Carefree paintings were displayed around the classroom, depicting the Mid-Autumn Festival, the school, the fields, and the village roads… Each artwork not only showcased skill and creativity but also served as a way for the children to express their childhood joy and pure dreams.
Giap Anh Khoi, a student in class 4A, innocently said: "I've loved drawing since I was little. I want to be able to draw beautiful pictures to give to people."
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen, Principal of Phu Xa Primary School, establishing clubs is an important part of the school's educational program. Ms. Huyen affirmed: The Art Club contributes to helping students develop their talents, nurture their passions, and create more joy in their daily lives.
More than just a playground to prepare for upcoming events, the club's two weekly sessions are also a time for children to immerse themselves in colors, for their little dreams to gradually take shape in their innocent eyes and dreamy hands as they draw.
Cultivate a passion for books.
While the vibrant Art Corner allows young hands to let their imaginations soar, the "Classroom Library Corner" is a peaceful haven that nurtures knowledge and a love of books for the students of Dong Quang Primary School (Phan Dinh Phung Ward).

At Dong Quang Primary School, each classroom has its own "library corner." On the shelves, comic books, life skills books, and science books are neatly arranged. These small spaces have opened up a vast world for the children, where their imagination, thirst for knowledge, and dreams can gently take root.
During every break, students gather around the bookshelves, choosing their favorite storybooks. Some sit in small groups, reading aloud to each other, while others find a quiet corner by the window to immerse themselves in stories about the world around them.
Chatting happily with her friends while reading under a tree, Ngo Minh Khue, a student in class 2C, shared: "I really like the library in the corner of the classroom. My friends and I can choose books and read right in the classroom. Reading helps me learn more and discover new things."
Since 2013, the classroom library corner model has been implemented at Dong Quang Primary School and has spread widely. Currently, the school has 24 classes with 784 students, each maintaining its own reading corner.
For Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Toan, homeroom teacher of class 2C, the classroom library corner not only sparks a passion for reading but also serves as a bridge between teachers, students, and parents. This idea has been enthusiastically supported by parents. Many parents choose books to bring to class, and some even donate valuable books worth nearly two million dong.
In Thai Nguyen province today, many schools have focused on developing students' spiritual lives through diverse extracurricular activities: art clubs, reading corners, creative experience sessions, cultural festivals, etc. These activities create more enthusiasm for learning, making each day at school more exciting and meaningful.
