Memorable moments of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong with Hanoi City

Before passing away due to old age and serious illness at 1:38 p.m. on July 19, 2024, at the age of 80, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was known as a simple person, close to the people.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong always pays special attention to the capital Hanoi . Every year, on the occasion of Tet, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong visits and wishes the Party Committee, government and people of the capital with special affection and closeness. Along with that, despite being busy with many jobs, the General Secretary always takes advantage of every opportunity to meet the people and attend the National Unity Day in residential areas. Before and after each session of the National Assembly , the General Secretary and the delegates of the National Assembly Delegation of Hanoi met with voters, listened to the people's thoughts and aspirations, strongly inspired and strengthened the people's trust and deep affection for the Party.
