Although iOS 18 has not been released for long, many iPhone users have started to pay attention to iOS 19 with a series of new unannounced features exclusively for this operating system.
iOS 19 promises to bring a series of new features to iPhone |
According to French site iPhoneSoft , if the user's iPhone is eligible to update to iOS 18, it will be supported to update to the iOS 19 operating system released in September next year.
This means that iPhones released since 2018 such as iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max will still be updated to iOS 19. However, some new features may not be compatible on these devices.
Alongside iOS 19, Apple will also release an iPadOS 19 update for its tablet lineup. However, reports indicate that the 7th-generation iPad launched in 2019 with the A10 processor will not be updated to iPadOS 19.
The developer preview of iOS 19 and iPadOS 19 is expected to be announced by Apple in June 2025, within the framework of the developer conference - WWDC 2025. While the stable version will be released by Apple about 3 months later for users to download and experience.
According to Bloomberg expert Mark Gurman, the iOS 19 operating system will likely be released in batches, similar to the way Apple did with artificial intelligence (AI) features in iOS 18.
