Although iOS 18 was released not long ago, many iPhone users have already started to show interest in iOS 19 with its series of unannounced new features exclusive to this operating system.

According to a source from the French website iPhoneSoft , if a user's iPhone is eligible for the iOS 18 update, it will also be supported for the iOS 19 update, which will be released in September of next year.
This means that iPhones released in 2018, such as the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max, will still be updated to iOS 19. However, some new features may not be compatible with these devices.
In addition to iOS 19, Apple will also release the iPadOS 19 update for its tablet lineup. However, reports indicate that the 7th-generation iPad, launched in 2019 with the A10 processor, will not be updated to iPadOS 19.
The developer preview of iOS 19 and iPadOS 19 is expected to be announced by Apple in June 2025, at the WWDC 2025 developer conference. The stable version will then be released approximately three months later for users to download and experience.
According to Bloomberg expert Mark Gurman, the iOS 19 operating system will likely be released in phases, similar to how Apple handled artificial intelligence (AI) features in iOS 18.
