The people who maintain peace at the facility.

After more than a year since its establishment (July 1, 2024), the security and order protection force at the grassroots level has been affirming its important role in maintaining order and safety in residential areas. From practical experience, many exemplary individuals have emerged, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility, dedication, and enthusiasm, always ready to contribute to the peace and security of their communities.

Dedicated and responsible to the community.

“In my opinion, maintaining security and order is not only the responsibility of the police force but also the shared responsibility of the entire community. The fact that people can live in a peaceful environment, free from theft, conflicts, and social vices, is a joy and also a motivation for me to continue dedicating myself to this work,” shared Mr. Vu Xuan Thuy (born in 1955), Deputy Head of the Security and Order Protection Team at Thanh Nghia Hamlet, Tan Chau Commune, Tay Ninh Province.

Mr. Vu Xuan Thuy returned lost property to its owner.

Committed to maintaining security and order since the group's inception, Mr. Thuy proactively monitors the situation, closely coordinating with the commune police force to patrol, detect, and promptly handle incidents related to security and order. As the head of Self-Governing Residential Group No. 3, he regularly interacts with and listens to the opinions of the people to make appropriate suggestions, contributing to strengthening the bond between the people and the government.

Not only did he perform his professional duties well, but he also actively propagated and mobilized people to participate in the "All People Protect National Security" movement. Following the motto "going to every alley, knocking on every door," he and local organizations propagated and encouraged people to strictly abide by the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, and proactively prevent and report crimes.

"The people are the crucial 'eyes and ears'. When people understand the law and proactively prevent crime, the pressure on local security forces will be greatly reduced," Mr. Thuy said.

Mr. Thuy's sense of responsibility wasn't expressed through words, but demonstrated through concrete actions, however small, yet full of meaning. At approximately 8 PM on February 4, 2025, while patrolling with the Thạnh Đông commune police (now Tân Châu commune), Mr. Thuy found a mobile phone in area 8, Thạnh Hiệp hamlet. At the commune police station, he returned the property to its owner, Nguyễn Đức Trường Giang (born in 2009).

With numerous contributions, Mr. Thuy has been repeatedly commended and rewarded by his superiors in the "All People Protect National Security" movement. But the greatest reward, according to him, is the trust and affection of the local people. Major Ho Quoc Tru, Deputy Head of Tan Chau Commune Police, said: "In many cases, Mr. Thuy proactively coordinated and supported the police force in handling incidents promptly and effectively. Individuals like him are the 'bridge' between the government and the people, contributing to building a solid security foundation from the grassroots."

Wholeheartedly dedicated to the peace of the people.

With enthusiasm and dedication, Huynh Ngoc Hoai (born in 2003) - Team Leader of the Security and Order Protection Team at Binh Phong Hamlet, Chau Thanh Commune, is energetic and wholeheartedly committed to his work, actively supporting the commune police in ensuring security and order in the area.

Hoai had previously served as a part-time commune police officer for over two years. When the force responsible for maintaining security and order at the grassroots level was established, he readily accepted the new assignment and quickly took on the role of a "leader" in many of the team's activities.

Mr. Huynh Ngoc Hoai (far left) was commended by his superiors for his achievements in the fight against crime.

"I proactively advise the Commune Police Command on ensuring security and order, and actively participate in building the 'All People Protect National Security' movement not only in Binh Phong hamlet but also throughout the entire commune," said Hoai.

Besides participating in patrols and handling emerging situations in the area, Mr. Hoai also proactively coordinated with the hamlet committee to gather information and provide intelligence to help the commune police develop plans to dismantle complex drug hotspots. For example, on September 17, 2025, in Suoi Muon hamlet, Mr. Hoai and the commune police force arrested an individual for illegally possessing narcotics.

In addition, he also promoted the application of information technology to disseminate legal information through 19 Zalo groups in the hamlet; providing information about the methods and tactics of criminals; and fire prevention and firefighting skills; thereby raising legal awareness among the people. “Effective prevention is the key factor. I try to keep track of the situation and inform the regular police force promptly so that they can take quick and lawful action,” Mr. Hoai shared.

Noticing that many people, especially the elderly, were still confused about using technology devices and submitting online applications, Mr. Hoai proactively provided guidance and support. In September 2025, he successfully assisted people in submitting 128 permanent and temporary residence applications and 214 identity card applications.

Major Nguyen Hoai Tam, Deputy Head of Chau Thanh Commune Police, said: “Officer Hoai has a high sense of responsibility, regularly stays close to the community, monitors the local situation, and promptly advises and coordinates with the commune police to handle cases related to security and order. He behaves in a professional, courteous, and approachable manner, earning the trust and confidence of the people. During his work, he actively cooperates with the local police to combat and dismantle complex hotspots in the commune.”

Through their quiet yet meaningful actions, the forces participating in maintaining security and order at the grassroots level are contributing to creating a solid security posture in their localities. They are crucial "links," the "extended arms" of the police force in maintaining security and order.
