Each story is an unforgettable experience.
During the voyage on Ship 936, the delegation from the Naval Academy carried out long-distance sea training for cadets, combined with practical study and research, and visited officers, soldiers, and people on several islands in the Truong Sa Special Zone ( Khanh Hoa province). Each stop was a story, each encounter an unforgettable experience.

On Song Tu Tay Island, as soon as the handshake was firm, the conversations quickly became friendly. The young soldiers shared about life on the remote island, about their families back home, and their dreams after completing their military service.
Major Tran Thi Lan, a military medical officer at the Naval Academy, emotionally stated: "Although the exchange time was very short, we felt the hardships and silent sacrifices of the officers and soldiers on the island. What impressed me most was that despite the difficult circumstances, the young soldiers always have a strong will to succeed and very clear plans for the future."
A soldier from Ninh Hoa recounted how his family had few working members and a difficult life. After completing his military service, he planned to learn a trade to help his parents. Another soldier from Nghe An also harbored the ambition of finding a suitable profession after his discharge, both to stabilize his life and contribute to the development of his hometown.

Amidst those simple stories, Sergeant Pham Quang Long's dream touched many hearts. With a determined look in his eyes, the young soldier shared his desire to enroll in the Political Officer Training School to continue his service in the military. "Besides my daily duties, I will try my best to study hard to achieve my goal. Later, I still hope to return to work in the Navy, to continue dedicating my youth to protecting the sovereignty of our seas and islands," Sergeant Long said.
Hearing those heartfelt words, Major Tran Thi Lan's voice suddenly choked up. She encouraged the young soldier with all the affection of a mentor: "Keep trying, I believe you will achieve your dreams."
Leaving Song Tu Tay, the delegation continued its journey to Son Ca Island. From afar, amidst the blue of the sea and sky, the figures of the officers and soldiers waiting by the pier became clearly visible. When the motorboat docked, the radiant smiles on their sun-tanned faces made all distances seem to disappear. This sincere welcome brought a feeling of closeness, like returning to meet loved ones after many days of separation.

Dreams are nurtured every day.
The first steps on Son Ca Island brought many surprises to the members of the delegation. Amidst the vast ocean, the island appeared lush, well-maintained, orderly, and full of life. The shady trees, clean roads, and orderly living conditions of the unit showed the efforts and perseverance of the soldiers stationed there.
During a brief encounter on the island, Sergeant Do Minh Tuan, from Vinh Long province, shared his heartfelt feelings about his time in the military. Before enlisting, Tuan graduated from the Ho Chi Minh City College of Industry and Trade. Two years of service at sea left him with many unforgettable memories.
"The most valuable thing I received was the camaraderie of my fellow soldiers. The closer it gets to my discharge date, the more I miss the island and the people who helped me overcome difficulties. Upon returning to my hometown, I will continue the work I was trained for to help my family and contribute to my homeland," Tuan confided.
Time on the island always flies by quickly. Before long, it was time for the delegation to continue their voyage. Firm handshakes, hurried instructions, and lingering farewells at the pier seemed to hold back both those staying and those departing.

The ship slowly left the island. The figures of the soldiers in their uniforms still stood there amidst the sun and wind of Truong Sa, gradually shrinking and blending into the endless blue of the sea and sky. Behind those sun-tanned faces were countless dreams being nurtured every day; ahead of them were still the tireless shifts of guarding the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea and islands.
