The most striking impression upon arriving here is the joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere among the teachers and students. In just a few days, the teachers and students will officially move their teaching and learning activities to this new facility. This moment marks a significant transformation for a school with a rich tradition.
We strolled along the long, light-filled corridors connecting the elegant high-rise buildings. Meeting us, Vu Thanh Huyen, a student in class 10A5, couldn't hide her joy: “We’re so happy and excited to be moving to the new school. The new school has complete facilities, so besides theoretical learning, we’ll have more practical exercises to explore the subjects in more depth, which will make us even more passionate and motivated to achieve better results.”
The Bach Dang High School project is being built on an area of over 3.2 hectares with a total investment of 232 billion VND from the provincial budget. The project includes a comprehensive range of facilities: a cultural studies building with 32 classrooms, 16 functional rooms, an administrative building, a multi-purpose hall, a playground, a sports field, and a complete technical infrastructure system. The project fully meets the criteria of a high-quality high school, achieving national standard level II, creating a favorable, safe, and friendly learning environment for students.
The commissioning of this new building is of particular importance, meeting the requirements for fundamental and comprehensive reform of education and training. Meeting with us, Mr. Nguyen Viet Khoa, the school's Vice Principal, excitedly shared: “Teachers and students are very excited to be preparing to teach and learn in the new school. This is not only a spacious educational facility but also clearly demonstrates the province's commitment to educational development.”
The modern learning environment has breathed new life into the working spirit of the teaching staff. The system of subject classrooms and laboratory rooms equipped with advanced machinery and interactive whiteboards has created optimal conditions for innovating teaching methods.
Teacher Pham Thi My shared: "The new facilities are a favorable condition for teachers to confidently apply advanced teaching methods that were previously difficult to implement. Especially the complete system of practice buildings for all subjects. This will be a great motivation, helping students become more interested in each lesson, shifting from passive learning to hands-on experience and skill development."
Standing in the breezy schoolyard, Mr. Nguyen Viet Khoa, Vice Principal of Bach Dang High School, couldn't hide his pride when talking about the school's rich tradition of over 60 years of construction and development. Over the years, despite many difficulties in facilities, Bach Dang High School has maintained a stable quality of education. The school's results in student competitions and high school graduation exams have consistently ranked among the best in the province, with many noteworthy achievements. The clearest evidence is that in the provincial-level student competition last academic year, the school won 82 awards; including 6 first prizes, ranking 4th in the province in terms of the number of first prizes.
That achievement served as a solid foundation, and today, with the new facilities, the school's aspiration to achieve even greater success in teaching and learning has become even more fervent. "We are determined to manage and utilize these facilities effectively to continuously improve the quality of education, contributing to the training of confident, capable students who are ready to integrate and contribute to their homeland of Quang Ninh ," Mr. Khoa further shared.
