In particular, when the broadcast programs have spread compassion and volunteer spirit to the community and connected philanthropists to know about difficult circumstances in society. Above all, humanitarian television programs on BPTV are also a reliable and prestigious address for businesses and philanthropists to accompany, thereby creating strength to help difficult circumstances rise up” - Association Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Lien said.
Spread kindness
In the new situation, when Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai merge into the new Dong Nai province, the Association wishes to continue connecting with Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio - Television to spread kindness to the community; at the same time, it hopes that philanthropists, clubs, teams, and volunteer groups will join the Association to continue helping the disadvantaged in Dong Nai province to have the conditions to rise up.
Ms. Lien emphasized that in addition to humanitarian television programs in collaboration with BPTV such as Sharing the Pain and Aspiration to Live, the Association also conducts offline programs to help people in especially difficult circumstances and poor patients. The Association's goal is to help poor patients, people with disabilities, and orphans have the opportunity to improve their lives and be revived. From 2023 to June 2025, the Association has mobilized 117,900,338,777 VND to help people in difficult circumstances.
After more than a year of receiving support from the humanitarian television program Aspiration to Live, Le Tu Quyen in Loc Ninh district happily shared: “Thanks to the Aspiration to Live program, my sisters and I have a better life. I have registered my first choice at the University of Economics and Law, Ho Chi Minh City National University to pursue my dream. I thank the program and the benefactors for helping my family in difficult times, helping my three sisters continue to pursue education and fulfill their dreams to change their lives.”
Overcoming difficulties from the beginning
Sharing about the nearly 20 years of being involved in charity activities in the province, Ms. Duong Thi Tuyet, former President of the Association, said: The beginning of humanitarian programs was very difficult because there were no main sponsors. Especially in the past, when social networks were not yet developed, we had to "knock on every door" to call for donations. At first, the effectiveness of the programs was not high, at times, the coordinating units considered stopping, however, thinking about the difficulties and deadlocks of poor patients, orphans and the responsibility of political and social organizations, we found solutions to continue the program. Previously, there were only a few clubs, teams and volunteer groups accompanying the program and the amount of money raised was very little, but now that amount has increased to several hundred million VND. In particular, seeing the positive effects of the programs, many teams, groups and clubs have been formed and regularly accompany the Association and the BPTV.
BPTV carries out 3 humanitarian programs in parallel/month. Each program has different criteria but the common goal is to help people in difficult circumstances and poor patients have a better life. In the past 10 years, humanitarian programs have been highly effective, helping many situations to be revived. There are situations where people with no money for treatment are saved when supported by the programs Sharing the Pain or Desire to Live; there are families whose lives have changed with stable, solid homes, or children who have received support for their education. It can be said that difficult situations when facing the door of life and death have been helped to revive by humanitarian programs.
Ms. Tuyet happily said: Humanitarian programs are sustainable and bring practical results, so in the future, despite changes in organization, I hope the programs will continue to be maintained. It is a bridge between people with conditions and difficult circumstances. From the articles calling for help on BPTV, it helps philanthropists find difficult circumstances to help. BPTV is a bridge, a reputable communication channel to philanthropists. In particular, in the future, the programs will also expand to the territory of Dong Nai province to help the poor, not just in Binh Phuoc.

Periodically accompanying the 3 programs Thirst for Life, Sharing the Pain and Wings of Dreams of BPTV, I see that each program team has its own way of doing things but are all dedicated and enthusiastic. Through the films and photos, the difficulties and deprivations of the characters in need of help have been depicted, thereby touching the compassion of the benefactors to help people in difficult circumstances have the opportunity to revive and rise up. In my opinion, from the broadcast programs, many benefactors have known about the program, thereby accompanying the Club to share and help people in difficult circumstances.
Although not the leading unit in the country in the volunteer movement, Binh Phuoc has many humanitarian programs on television and the effectiveness of the programs is very high. The Desire to Live is one of the successful programs. Wherever the Desire to Live goes, it spreads and connects, thereby helping many difficult circumstances in Binh Phuoc in particular and provinces and cities in the country in general to change their lives. The Aspiration to Live program started in 2008 but in 2011 it was decided to be implemented on a monthly basis in Binh Phuoc because at that time the people of Binh Phuoc were facing many difficulties. Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien, Director of Nhat Advertising Joint Stock Company (UNIAD JSC.), Head of the Organizing Committee of the Aspiration to Live program said: With the goal of helping the poor to revive, over the past 17 years, we have always chosen remote locations to help the poor overcome adversity. According to the policy of merging provinces, with Aspiration to Live, any area where there are poor people in need of assistance, the program will still be attached and reach out as a way of sharing.
