BPO - “Over the years, Binh Phuoc Radio, Television and Newspaper (BPTV) has collaborated with the Provincial Association for the Support of Disabled People, Orphans and Poor Patients (Association) and various clubs, teams, and volunteer groups to implement humanitarian television programs. In particular, these broadcast programs have spread compassion and volunteer spirit to the community and connected philanthropists with those in difficult circumstances in society. Above all, humanitarian television programs on BPTV are a reliable and reputable platform for businesses and philanthropists to partner with, thereby creating a powerful force to help those in difficult circumstances rise above their challenges,” said Association President Nguyen Thi Lien.

Spreading kindness

In the new context, with Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai merging into the new Dong Nai province, the Association hopes to continue connecting with Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio and Television to spread compassion to the community; at the same time, it hopes that philanthropists, clubs, teams, and volunteer groups will continue to help disadvantaged people in the new Dong Nai province to improve their lives.

The family of Mr. Hoang Tang Long in Loc Thuan commune, Loc Ninh district, was visited again by the organizers of the "Aspiration for Life" program during the Lunar New Year 2024.

Ms. Lien emphasized that, in addition to humanitarian television programs in collaboration with BPTV such as "Sharing the Pain" and "Aspiration for Life," the Association also carries out offline programs to assist those in particularly difficult circumstances and impoverished patients. The Association's goal is to help poor patients, people with disabilities, and orphans have the opportunity to improve their lives and experience a rebirth. From 2023 to June 2025, the Association has raised 117,900,338,777 VND to assist those in difficult circumstances.

For over a year now, Lê Tú Quyên from Lộc Ninh district has been receiving assistance from the humanitarian television program "Aspiration for Life," and she happily shared: "Thanks to the 'Aspiration for Life' program, the lives of my sisters and I have improved. I have registered for my first choice, the University of Economics and Law, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, to pursue my dream. I thank the program and the benefactors who helped my family during difficult times, allowing the three of us to continue our education and fulfill our dreams to change our lives."

Overcoming difficulties from the very beginning.

Sharing her experiences of nearly 20 years involved in charitable activities in the province, Ms. Duong Thi Tuyet, former President of the Association, said: "The beginning of humanitarian programs was very difficult due to the lack of main sponsors. Especially in the past, before social media developed, we had to go 'door-to-door' to solicit donations. Initially, the effectiveness of the programs was not high, and at times, the coordinating units considered stopping them. However, thinking about the difficulties and impasses faced by poor patients and orphans, and the responsibility of socio-political organizations, we worked together to find solutions to continue the programs. Previously, only a few clubs, teams, and groups of volunteers participated in the programs, and the amount of money raised was very small. Now, that amount has reached several hundred million dong. In particular, seeing the positive results of the programs, many teams, groups, and clubs have formed and regularly partnered with the Association and the Provincial Volunteer Team."

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien, Director of Nhat Advertising Joint Stock Company (UNIAD JCS.), Head of the Organizing Committee of the "Aspiration for Life" program, presented donations from benefactors to support the family of Le Tu Quyen in Loc Ninh district in February 2024.

BPTV implements three humanitarian programs simultaneously each month. Each program has different criteria, but the common goal is to help those in difficult circumstances and poor patients have a better life. For nearly 10 years, these humanitarian programs have been highly effective, helping many people recover. Some people suffering from illness and lacking the money for treatment have been saved by programs like "Sharing the Pain" or "Aspiration for Life"; some families have seen their lives transformed with stable homes and their children receiving educational support. It can be said that these humanitarian programs have helped those facing life-or-death situations to find a new lease on life.

Ms. Tuyet happily stated: "Humanitarian programs are sustainable and bring practical results, so even with organizational changes in the future, we hope these programs will continue to be maintained. They serve as a bridge between those who are well-off and those in difficult circumstances. Through appeals published on BPTV, philanthropists can reach those in need and provide assistance. BPTV acts as a reliable communication channel connecting philanthropists with these individuals. Importantly, these programs will soon expand to the Đồng Nai province to help the poor, not just Bình Phước."

The organizers of the "Sharing the Pain" program donated over 230 million VND to Ms. Duong Thi Trang in An Loc ward, Binh Long town.

Nguyen Dinh That, head of the Huong Tu Tam Charity Club (Phuoc Long Town), shared: "Over the past time, the club has accompanied BPTV in humanitarian programs with the motto of spreading and bringing practical values to help those in difficult circumstances. Regularly participating in BPTV's three programs, 'Aspiration for Life,' 'Sharing the Pain,' and 'Wings of Dreams,' I see that each program team has its own way of doing things, but all are dedicated and enthusiastic. Through the films and photos, they have depicted the difficulties and hardships of those in need, thereby touching the compassion of philanthropists to help those in difficult circumstances have a chance to revive and rise up. In my opinion, the broadcast programs have helped many philanthropists learn about the program, and from there, they have joined the club in sharing and helping those in need."

While not a leading province nationwide in the field of charitable activities, Binh Phuoc has many humanitarian programs broadcast on television, and these programs are highly effective. "Aspiration for Life" is one of the most successful programs. Wherever "Aspiration for Life" goes, it spreads and connects people, helping many disadvantaged individuals in Binh Phuoc in particular, and in provinces and cities across the country in general, to change their lives.

Deputy Head of the Resource Mobilization Committee, Vietnam Association for the Protection of Disabled People and Orphans, LUU THI GIANG HUONG

The "Aspiration for Life" program started in 2008, but it wasn't until 2011 that it was decided to implement it on a regular monthly basis in Binh Phuoc province because the people of Binh Phuoc were facing many difficulties at that time. Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien, Director of Nhat Advertising Joint Stock Company (UNIAD JSC.), and Head of the Organizing Committee of the "Aspiration for Life" program, said: "With the goal of helping the poor recover, for the past 17 years, we have always chosen remote and disadvantaged areas to help poor people overcome adversity. Following the provincial merger policy, the 'Aspiration for Life' program continues to reach out to poor people in need of assistance wherever there are them, as a way of sharing."
