I remember when we launched the wild sunflower planting campaign in the Lìa region, many people actively responded to beautify their villages. Teacher Nguyen Mai Trong, Principal of A Xing Primary and Secondary School, said: “I believe that mobilizing human and financial resources to plant flower-lined roads is a meaningful initiative in many aspects, especially for remote areas. It contributes to changing the face of villages, creating opportunities for community tourism to develop, and simultaneously creating jobs and improving people's income. This activity also fosters community connection for the change and progress of society.”

In 2024 alone, the Quang Tri Province Flower Road Development Fund raised 245 million VND for socially meaningful activities. In February 2024, in coordination with the People's Committee of the former Cam Thanh commune (now Cam Lo commune), they planted 100 yellow Osaka trees (3m tall) along the road leading to the Cua region, specifically the section passing through Cam Thanh commune, at a cost of 150 million VND. In October 2024, the fund collaborated with the Cam Lo Rubber Processing Plant (Sepon Group) to plant 250 yellow Osaka trees (1m tall) along the DT585 road from the Cua intersection to the Tan So Citadel historical site, at a cost of 75 million VND...
Alongside the development of new flower-lined roads in various localities, the fund has continued to protect and care for existing yellow Osaka flower roads in Lao Bao commune; wild sunflower roads in Huong Phung and Lia communes; and red Osaka flower roads on Cu Vo hill (Huong Phung commune) and Tan Do lake (Khe Sanh commune).
Journalist Lam Chi Cong stated: “The Quang Tri Province Flower Road Development Fund operates on a voluntary, community-oriented basis, with funding mobilized through social contributions. Over the past period, our activities have received the support and approval of local Party committees, authorities, agencies, armed forces units, schools, and many people from the lowlands to the highlands. Many flower roads have been created and are blooming, transforming the appearance of many rural areas. However, it is important to recognize that this is a long-term journey; it cannot bear fruit overnight, so it requires long-term, persistent cooperation and concerted efforts.”

Along with developing flower-lined roads in several localities within the province, over the past year, the fund has contributed to promoting the image of the land and people of Quang Tri province. It has discovered and disseminated information about beautiful places and tourist destinations with potential for people inside and outside the province to visit and experience. At the same time, the fund has also honored outstanding individuals and new factors in the socio-economic development of the locality, particularly highlighting the efforts of ethnic minority communities to escape poverty.
Mr. Nguyen Khiem, Vice Chairman of the Flower Road Development Fund of Quang Tri province, shared: “We hope that the province and its departments and agencies will work together to support the fund in mobilizing social resources to implement the flower planting movement, improve the landscape and environment, contribute to beautifying the homeland, and promote community tourism in the province.”
