Lao Cai farmers earn hundreds of billions of dong from pineapple cultivation.

Currently, Lao Cai province has over 2,200 hectares of pineapple cultivation area, concentrated in the districts of Muong Khuong and Bao Thang... To date, farmers in these localities have harvested more than 39,800 tons of fruit, with a total revenue of over 258 billion VND.

According to assessments, the consumption of fresh pineapples is favorable this year, with prices ranging from 7,000 to 8,000 VND/kg.

Approximately one-third of the pineapple production is purchased by Asia Food Joint Stock Company (located in Lung Vai commune, Muong Khuong district). The remainder is purchased by Thinh Phong Cooperative and other small traders, who then sell it to factories in Bac Giang , Ninh Binh, Hung Yen, and other provinces.

According to the plan for 2024, the entire province aims to plant 60 hectares of pineapple in Muong Khuong district. To date, farmers have already planted over 20 hectares.
