But at that moment, the honoree was in Ho Chi Minh City busy with another milestone: the leading role in the premiere of the film "Nam Xuan Memories" (directed by Ho Ngoc Xum) produced by Giai Phong Film Studio.
The good news came to Minh Luan through a phone call from co-star Lam Vy Da - the representative of Hong Van stage who received the award on his behalf. "I was overwhelmed with emotion. It was truly a very special feeling, both surprised and moved to tears. This is the gold medal for my nearly 20-year artistic career, so I am very excited..." - artist Minh Luan shared, his voice still unable to hide his excitement.

In the play "Another War" by author Tong Phuong Linh, directed by Meritorious Artist Le Nguyen Dat, with the artistic advice of People's Artist Hong Van, artist Minh Luan transforms into Kien - a dedicated, brave and very ordinary people's police officer.
The play does not paint a rosy picture or shout slogans, but depicts a specific person in military uniform: serious in his profession, gentle in life, sometimes helpless in the face of personal tragedies, but Kien never abandons his responsibilities.
Minh Luan with the role "that gave me the most trouble ever"
"I have played many police and military roles, but this is the most difficult role for me. Not only because the script delves into the inner self, but also because of the responsibility of having to portray the true character of a people's police officer in today's era - brave, upright, but also full of humanity" - Minh Luan said.

To fully transform, he spent a lot of time interacting and talking with real police officers. He learned everything from the way they walked, stood, made phone calls, to the smallest details like their reactions in stressful situations or their eyes when talking about family.
"I don't want to play a stereotypical hero. I want the audience to see that a soldier is also a human being, who can be in pain, can be tired, but is still resilient for a greater cause: the peace of the community."
Gold medal for Minh Luan and the result of collective efforts
Artist Minh Luan repeatedly emphasized that this gold medal is not only his. "I am grateful to People's Artist Hong Van - who created all the conditions for me to play the role of Kien; director Le Nguyen Dat - who has a sharp vision and is very patient; author Tong Phuong Linh - with a wonderful script, both new and profound. And most of all, the Hong Van stage team - colleagues who loved and supported me in every scene."
Artist Minh Luan has a role of a lifetime
In his emotional words of thanks, Minh Luan did not forget to express his affection for the audience - those who have accompanied him throughout his journey of nearly 20 years. "I consider this a milestone, but also a reminder: I am not allowed to stop. I must continue to do my job with kindness and dedication."
Artist Minh Luan has been persistent in his career, from television to stage, from drama to comedy, from leading to supporting roles. His diversity in choices, along with his serious attitude towards work, has made him loved by his colleagues and audiences.
With "Another War", he has completed the role excellently, at the same time arousing sympathy from the audience. Kien is not an extraordinary hero, but a symbol of thousands of silent police officers in real life - people who are facing "another war": the war to preserve faith, morality, and conscience in a turbulent society.
Minh Luan's continuing dreams
This award is a big milestone in Minh Luan’s career, not only in terms of title but also in terms of spiritual value. In a time when the stage is facing many difficulties, it is a precious thing for a film and television actor like him to return to the stage and leave a big mark.

Artist Minh Luan said he was extremely happy and grateful for the love and favor that the Hong Van stage actors had given him.
"This is a prestigious award, enhancing my professional status on my journey of nearly 20 years of dedication" - Artist Minh Luan said.
Talking about the artistic process for the role of Kien, Minh Luan said: "This is a role that depicts the image of a law enforcement officer and the model of a husband who always cares for and looks after his wife, despite being busy with cases and business trips away from home.
However, the role is not rigid, it requires understanding and sharing. I received sincere comments from the police officers to complete the role well, performing the correct manner and profession. The play depicts the other side of the police officer, they also have their own hardships but always put the task of protecting the peace of the people first."
