Mr. Le Van Kien shared that at around the age of 18, he decided to leave home to learn the refrigeration and air conditioning trade. After mastering the trade, he started his own business repairing and installing refrigeration equipment. During his work, Mr. Kien connected with and introduced his first customers to various businesses. With his inherent quick wit, he recognized the business opportunity: repairing and advising on the sale of refrigeration equipment was a linked support system that was both convenient for users and provided him with income.
Based on that idea, Kien, with financial support from his family, boldly opened an electronics store at the young age of 24. His work in installation, repair, and sales of electrical appliances created a supply chain that gave him a competitive edge in the market. He continued to expand his store and develop branches. From there, he hired more technicians and apprentices who both learned the trade and helped out at the store, contributing to job creation for many local workers.

Having gone through a difficult period of apprenticeship himself, Mr. Kien understands the needs of young people seeking vocational training and employment. Many young people today want to learn a trade and find stable jobs, but due to difficult circumstances, they have difficulty accessing professional vocational training institutions. Therefore, Mr. Kien has offered free vocational training to young people who share the same passion.
Not being a professional training center, Mr. Kien initially only provided vocational guidance to young people. However, as the number of students increased, he partnered with vocational education centers to provide more in-depth training and issue certificates to students. According to Mr. Kien, receiving in-depth training and a vocational certificate will give students a better chance when starting their own businesses.
Moreover, Kien and his staff are working together to create a "circular ecosystem - interconnected and mutually supportive" to develop and expand entrepreneurial opportunities. Many young people initially came here simply to work and make a living, but inspired by Kien, they have considered starting their own businesses. Currently, Kien and his young colleagues are implementing a "trade-in old washing machines for new ones" program. The old washing machines are collected, repaired by technicians, and then rented out to laundromats.
"I can also provide equipment for those who want to start a laundry business; and connect suppliers for those who want to open an electronics store," Kien said.

Mr. Le Van Kien's shop employs many young people. Therefore, the Gia Rai Ward Youth Union encouraged Mr. Kien to establish a youth branch for his private enterprise.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Noi, Deputy Secretary of the Gia Rai Ward Youth Union, said: “Following current development trends, the activities of private enterprise youth union branches like the Le Kien Electrical Appliance Enterprise Youth Union branch are an extension of the local Youth Union. This is a place to gather union members and young people in the area, a reliable place for them to entrust their dreams of establishing themselves and their careers . From there, it contributes to solving unemployment and retaining skilled young workers for the locality.”
Le Kien's business model is a prime example of young entrepreneurs who start their businesses through solidarity, collaboration, and mutual support, contributing to the overall socio -economic development of the local area.
