On this occasion, Thanh Oai district proposed to the Hanoi City OCOP Council to evaluate and classify 15 potential 4-star OCOP products. Specifically, Thu Huong Bamboo and Rattan Weaving Cooperative (Phuong Trung commune) registered 6 products; Kim An Agricultural Cooperative (Kim An commune) had 1 product; and a household selling pork sausage and ham in Tan Uoc commune had 8 products.
The advisory team assisting the Hanoi City OCOP Product Evaluation and Ranking Council, comprising representatives from several departments and agencies including Industry and Trade, Health , Agriculture and Rural Development, etc., visited the guava cultivation area of Kim An Agricultural Cooperative; the conical hat production workshop of Thu Huong Bamboo and Rattan Weaving Cooperative; and a business selling pork sausage and ham in Tan Uoc commune.
Members of the working group also assessed the dossiers of potential 4-star OCOP product production facilities from 3 cooperatives and business households. They also conducted sample analysis for the quality of potential 4-star OCOP products in the food sector…
After carefully reviewing the dossiers and conducting on-site inspections of the production facilities of the cooperatives and business households, the members of the Advisory Team assisting the Hanoi City OCOP Council unanimously agreed that 6 conical hat products of Thu Huong Bamboo and Rattan Weaving Cooperative and 1 guava product of Kim An Agricultural Cooperative meet the criteria to be submitted to the competent authority for recognition as OCOP 4-star products.
Regarding the 8 sausage and ham products from a household business in Tan Uoc commune, the evaluation team members highly appreciated the product quality. However, the business needs to further improve its production conditions to ensure compliance with regulations. After the feedback is addressed, the Advisory Team assisting the Hanoi City OCOP Council will conduct a re-evaluation.
According to Ngo Van Ngon, Deputy Head of the Office in charge of the Hanoi New Rural Development Program Coordination Office, during this period, the Advisory Team assisting the Hanoi City OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council conducted inspections and assessments of dossiers for 54 potential 4-star products from the districts of Soc Son, Dong Anh, Gia Lam, Phuc Tho, Hoai Duc, Me Linh, and Thanh Oai.
“The advisory team worked in a spirit of openness, transparency, objectivity, and impartiality. Accordingly, 44 products were unanimously agreed by the team members to be eligible for submission to the Hanoi City OCOP Council for evaluation and classification as 4-star; 10 products that did not meet the criteria were guided to further complete their dossiers and production conditions for re-evaluation in subsequent rounds…” - Mr. Ngo Van Ngon added.
