SJC gold price is listed by Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) at

86.8 million VND/tael for buying and 88.8 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 200,000 VND/tael in both directions.

DOJI's 9999 gold is traded at 86.9 - 88.9 million VND/tael (buy - sell), unchanged from yesterday.

At Mi Hong Company, SJC gold price was recorded at 87.1 million VND/tael for buying and 88.5 million VND/tael for selling, a slight increase of 100,000 VND/tael for buying.

Bao Tin Minh Chau also adjusted the price of SJC gold to 86.9 - 88.9 million VND/tael, an increase of 100,000 VND/tael compared to the previous day.

SJC gold in Phu Quy maintained the price at 86.4 - 88.9 million VND/tael.

The price of SJC 1-5 chi gold rings is currently trading at around 86.3 - 88 million VND/tael, a slight increase compared to before.

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 1:00 p.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,771.52 USD/ounce. Today's gold price is unchanged from yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,440 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 85 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 2.9 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices hit their highest in nearly three months and edged closer to a record high on comments from Donald Trump that appeared to be more conciliatory on US-China trade relations. The comments supported gold but weighed on the dollar index.

According to experts, the recent sharp increase in gold prices is due to concerns about rising inflation when new economic policies of US President Donald Trump come into effect. Mr. Trump proposed to apply a 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico, along with a 10% tariff on goods from China. These measures are forecast to push inflation in the US from 2.9% to 3.7% by the end of 2025.

In addition, Mr. Trump's economic stimulus packages and tax cuts, while intended to boost growth, have increased the national debt, leading investors to rush to buy gold as a way to protect assets against inflation.

Gold prices were also supported by a weaker US dollar. The US dollar index fell to 107.47 points this morning, making gold a more attractive option for international investors.

Jim Wyckoff, senior analyst at Kitco, said the market was somewhat calmed overnight after Trump appeared to soften his stance on China, saying in an interview with Fox News that he “would prefer” not to resort to tariffs.
