According to Tri Thuc – Znews , PVF-CAND has reached an agreement to loan central defender Pham Ly Duc from CAHN. The contract for the U23 Vietnam star is valid until the end of the 2025/26 season. Currently, Ly Duc has started training with his new team and is ready for the new journey ahead.
Pham Ly Duc joined CAHN from HAGL before the 2025/26 season and quickly won his first title when he and the police team won the National Super Cup at Thien Truong Stadium at the end of August last year.
2025 also marks a major step forward in the career of the central defender from Tay Ninh . He participated in the emotional journey of the Vietnam U23 team, winning the gold medal at the Southeast Asian U23 Championship, the gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games, and the bronze medal at the 2026 Asian U23 Championship. His consistent performance and strong, calm playing style attracted the attention of several clubs in K.League 2 before he joined PVF-CAND.
For PVF-CAND, the arrival of Ly Duc is expected to significantly strengthen the defense. After 13 rounds, coach Nguyen Thanh Cong's team has only 11 points and is currently ranked 13th in the standings. Adding a promising central defender, who has competed in many major youth tournaments, shows the team's ambition to improve its performance in the second half of the season.
Furthermore, the V.League newcomers are expected to make two more changes to their foreign player positions to strengthen their squad. These moves show that the team is not content with its current position and is ready to revamp its squad to aim for safe relegation survival, or even create a surprise in the remainder of the season.
