PSG beat Bayern 5-4 in a dramatic match. |
"I think today we saw two top-class teams playing on equal footing, especially in their attacking play and the transitions, the speed and intensity in one-on-one situations. That's what two top clubs can offer the fans," Harry Kane said after Bayern's 4-5 defeat in Paris.
"Overall, Bayern Munich had moments where we could have finished the game earlier. So we are very proud of coming back to 4-5, because playing away from home, being 2-5 down is a really difficult situation. But we fought and now we're back in the race for the final," the 1993-born striker added.
Echoing Kane's sentiment, Ousmane Dembele also highly praised the performances of both teams in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final: "This was a match between two teams that always looked to attack and never hesitated. We always knew Bayern were a top team and PSG were no less impressive. My teammates and I are happy with the result, even though we were leading 5-2 at one point."
"It was a great game and now we will head to Munich hoping to win and secure a place in the final," added the 2025 Ballon d'Or winner.
With nine goals scored, PSG and Bayern produced one of the most spectacular Champions League semi-final matches in history. In the second leg at Allianz Arena, PSG only needed a draw to secure their place in the final for the second consecutive season.
