A few days ago, the French national team defeated Brazil 2-1 with a dominant performance. Captain Kylian Mbappe started the match and scored one goal.
This time, Colombia continued to be a formidable opponent for many players who play in Europe. However, they were still not a worthy opponent for France, even though the European representative did not field their strongest lineup. The goal was somewhat fortunate, as the ball deflected off a Colombian defender and went into the net.
But that was enough to propel the French players to new heights. In the 41st minute, the lead was doubled with a close-range header from Marcus Thuram. Then, in the 56th minute, Doue completed his brace with a delicate finish inside the penalty area.
Colombia's consolation goal came in the 77th minute with an improvised shot from Jaminton Campaz inside the penalty area.
The 3-1 victory once again affirmed the strength of the French team and showed that they are a strong contender for the 2026 World Cup title.
