Giant "suspended" lake discovered inside Thung Cave.

Located about 1km from the entrance to Thung Cave, this lake is considered one of the most pristine caves, nestled deep within the strictly protected zone of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. The lake is surrounded by stalactite formations and has an underground river system beneath. This enormous lake, with its clear, turquoise water, has been tentatively named the "suspended lake."

Currently, the source of the water flowing into this lake has not been found. Notably, the lake is situated approximately 15 meters higher than the underground river system. Additionally, the expedition team discovered a passageway halfway up the Thung cave wall, crossing the main branch of the underground river.

According to Le Luu Dung, Director of Jungle Boss Limited Company, at the time of the expedition, due to a lack of depth-sensing equipment, the team members were unable to locate the water source that created the lake's unique location. The team will return to survey and explore this area in the near future.

The discovery of the suspended lake, alongside Thung Cave and other caves such as Tron Cave, Hung Cave, and Ma Da Valley, promises to be unique nature exploration tourism destinations in the Phong Nha - Ke Bang primeval forest.
