Fire burns down fishmeal factory in Quang Binh, causing nearly 100 billion VND in damage

On the morning of November 27, in Tien Phong village (Thanh Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province), a fire broke out at a fishmeal factory, causing great damage.

The fire was discovered at around 4:30 a.m. at the 1,600 square meter fish meal factory of Tam Phat Production and Service Company Limited.

Upon receiving the information, the local authorities mobilized vehicles and forces from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Quang Binh Provincial Police, to urgently approach the scene to participate in extinguishing the fire. However, because the factory contained many flammable materials, the fire extinguishing work encountered many difficulties.

By 8:30 a.m., the fire was basically under control, but almost all of the assets in the factory were burned down. According to information from a representative of Tam Phat Production and Service Company Limited, at the time of the fire, the factory contained 1,200 tons of fish meal, 22,000 liters of fish oil, two fish meal production machines, and many other assets with a total estimated loss of nearly 100 billion VND.

Three days ago, a fire broke out at a factory in an industrial park in Hai Phong , destroying many properties. Accordingly, at 11:31 p.m. on November 23, Center 114, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department received a report from the people about a fire at Dong A Company (in Trang Due Industrial Park).

Immediately afterwards, 15 fire trucks from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Teams of Area 2, Area 5, Area 1, Area 6, An Duong, Hong Bang, An Lao, Kien An Police, specialized fire fighting teams of Trang Due, An Duong Industrial Park, Nomura Industrial Park... were urgently mobilized to the scene.

Initially, the authorities determined that the fire area was over 1,000 square meters, the flammable materials were plastic parts of washing machines, plastic materials... The force sprayed water to prevent the fire from spreading to the warehouse and factory, and at the same time mobilized workers to move assets out of the fire area.

By 2:26 a.m. on November 24, the fire was controlled and extinguished. However, the combustible material was plastic with a lot of toxic smoke and smoldering gas. The rescue team continued to spray water to extinguish the fire and entered the warehouses and factories next door. Initial statistics showed that the fire did not cause any human casualties, but more than 1,000 square meters of factory, washing machine parts, shelves for goods, etc. were burned down.
