Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang received representatives of Musician Hoang Van's family

On the morning of July 31, Party Central Committee member and Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang warmly received representatives of Musician Hoang Van's family. Standing Committee member and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Truong An Ninh; and leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism attended.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang emphasized that Musician Hoang Van has made great contributions to Vietnam's revolutionary music. In particular, in his composing career, Musician Hoang Van dedicated to the people of Quang Binh (old) the immortal song: "Quang Binh, my homeland".

The song was born in 1964, when he went to the field and witnessed with his own eyes the exciting and urgent atmosphere of fighting and building the homeland of the people on the Quang Binh frontline.

Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang also congratulated Musician Hoang Van's Collection on being inscribed in the World Memory List by UNESCO. The Provincial Party Secretary also said that Musician Hoang Van's name was given to a street in Dong Hoi ward, showing the people's love and affection for Musician Hoang Van's contributions.

The Provincial Party Secretary hopes that in the coming time, there will be more activities related to the life, career, and background of the Musician, such as music nights, seminars... held in Quang Tri to pay tribute to Musician Hoang Van, and affirmed that the province always supports and creates the best conditions to organize the programs.

Conductor Le Phi Phi, son of musician Hoang Van, expressed his gratitude for the affection that the leaders and people of Quang Binh province in the past and Quang Tri province at present have given to musician Hoang Van and his family. He and his family were extremely moved to return to visit Quang Tri, the land considered as the hometown of musician Hoang Van.
